I’ve had this idea of Akechi as N for three years, and it’s only now that I’ve actualized it. For context, N disappears after you defeat Ghetsis at the end of Pokémon Black and White, while Akechi disappears after you defeat Maruki at the end of Persona 5 Royal. While N reappears in Black 2 and White 2, Akechi doesn’t (if Strikers counts as a sequel).
It’s been YEARS since the endings of both games (I’m putting Black/White and Black/White 2 as one because it’s practically a duology like Innocent Sin/Eternal Punishment). Despite that, those two characters still have an impact on their respective protagonists: N to Hilbert/Hilda and Nate/Rosa, and Akechi to AkiRen. I figured the two lines from the lyrics above describe those two: N being a former king, and Akechi being a former assassin.

Gen 5 is my huge bias, I grew up on BW2 and absolutely adore the characters
Akechi suits Ns role really well, despite the fact I don't like either characters. This is really well done! I think a gen5 AU would be amazing for Persona lmao
