As you may already tell, there are not going to be any Disney characters in Sora's inclusion in Smash Ultimate. However, I am curious as to which side of the deal this was decided on. Was it Sakurai's decision since he wants only video game original characters to be represented in Smash? Or was it Disney's decision since they are usually very stingy on other companies use their characters? Which do you believe is the case? I personally believe that it was Sakurai's decision, but it could be both.

Sakurai easily, theyd break the no 4th party rule. I’m sure disney would NOT care that much about allowing the disney fellas, but sakurai would have to break the only confirmed rule of smash
I give Sakurai benefit of doubt. Besides he done so much for us already. Getting Disney of all companies to agree on something? I mean how many does that?
Maybe it was cheaper to just have the original content from Kingdom Hearts. The addition of any Disney original franchise could’ve most likely been too expensive on Nintendo’s end.
