Why some characters are more loved than others

Hello fellas, it is I the great Cr3misis ( if u get the quote ur gay ), and today I'll talk about a topic that no one has ever talked before.

Have you ever thought why some character are more recognized or loved than others?

No? Well let's find it out!

1) Casual love

There are a lot of reasons why casual players love different characters than others. Since a lot of casuals go on For Glory, the mainly reasons are the following:

- They like projectile based character so they can balance the bad connection they have to their gameplay

- They like stylish kill moves so that they can use for a combo video ( like the 9 ).

- They like character that have fast moves to spam ( like ZSS's laser )

Because of these reasons, here there are the most loved FG characters in my opinion:

Here's the FG king. Rolling, arrows, bombs and boomerangs spam are his bread and butter.

Captain Falcon

FG players are those kind of people who always try to go for the knee or a Falcon Punch.

It's not a big surprise why they always fail

Counter. It's the only thing you should know about FG Marth.

Fox

Lasers. It's the only thing you should know about FG Fox.

2) Competitive love

Competitive players has also his rules. Competitive players plays different characters than others because:

- They're high on the tier list

- They have good frame data

- They're able to win tournaments

Because of this, here are the most loved competitive characters:

Cloud

Fast frame data, fast ending lag, limit and up-air. Basically just pay 5.99 $ to win every single tournament.

Bayonetta

Same goes for Bayonetta. Big combos and big hitboxes are her biggest qualities.

Diddy Kong

Even if Diddy got nerfed, he's still relevant in competitive play thanks to his bananas, peanuts and fast frame data.

Same goes for Shiek.

Mario

Fast frame data, kill moves, cape and FLUDD.

That's all I'm gonna say about Mario.

3) "The Shadows"

Here are the ones I like to call "The Shadows".

These characters are the shadows of the roster.

No one talks or use them a lot and for several reasons:

- They have a long learning curve

- They're low tier

Every nation has his "shadows", but since I honestly don't know every shadow of every nation, I'll only limit myself to describe to you the most unrecognised ones in my opinion:

Bowser Jr

This charater has a ton of potential that can be used. Unfortunately we don't have any really good players representing us at big tournaments like Tweek did.

Pac Man

Same thing for Pac Man. He has lots of mixups that can be used to trick your opponent. But he's really unseen in tournaments due to his long learning curve.

Dr.Mario

Dr.Mario is always seen as a bad character, always placed low tier.

He's one of the rarest characters to see in tournaments along with Olimar and King DDD.

But like the characters I mentioned, Dr.Mario has a lot of potential, with a lot of tricks you can pull of.

Falco

I know that this charater has a lot of things you can do. His d-air is one of the most satisfying moves to hit.

But, like the other characters I mentioned, he has a long learning curve.

4) Suggestions

Now should you use the characters everyone uses to win tournaments or win every game on FG?

Well, It's your choice.

But there are some advantages that only the "Shadows" have:

- Obscure Matchups

- More conciousness of the tools that the character has.

So be aware of EVERY character. Trust me It's really useful.

5) Conclusion

Well, I hope you got more conciousness of why some characters are more liked than others. Now when you'll go to tournaments, you'll have more knowledge of the characters that, if you're not careful enough, can give you a really bad time.
