Well, you'll have to check it out to see what else ;) http://aminoapps.vertvonline.info/p/lfm8no
Hey guys, there are some people who blog regularly, but why do they do it? Well being someone who does it often, I think I can try and help answer that. Keep in mind everyone has their own reason for blogging, some people might do it for multiple of the reasons I mention, or none.
We want rep.
And that's the post. Bi.

Getting featured

Getting featured feels pretty good. Especially when you first the app, you may want to get a feature so you've made something that's good enough to be rewarded. Seeing all the likes is satisfying, it shows that the work you put in payed off.
Yeah, shame all the likes are people who just ed a pressed like all
ANYWAYS, seeing yourself on the front page is nice. This is a shorter section because a lot of what I could say here overlaps with the Rep/Reputation section.
Helping People

When I say helping people, I mainly mean posts like guides. I've made a few myself for the main reason simply to be helpful, whether that's to new s, smashers or potential bloggers.
If you help people out you'll probably feel good, unless you're an emotionless monster. Depending on what kind of post it is can also make a difference. For example, I made a guide on making good posts, and that was mainly because I wanted to see new faces on the feature feed and help out people who want to get into content creation on this app.
Being Funny

This can apply to serious posts, but mainly shitposts. Some people just wanna mess around and have a laugh when posting. These kind of posts are hard to do right, but when they are they can be really refreshing to see.
Sadly shitposts don't really get featured since they usually aren't to long. There have been some that have been featured though, and they usually get really good .
One of the most notable shitposters is BokuNoPica, he's done a fair amount and they can be a really good read.
Blogging Can Be Fun

People write for a reason, it's enjoyable. If it wasn't, why would we do it? We don't get paid for making posts, it can just be nice to write some things and share opinions, which I'll get more into later.
It can also be nice to have a little rant and get some things off your chest. I know some people have had series where they rant and ramble, like Reaver and Myrrusz. I've even kind of dabbling in it with the We Need to Stop series, but eventually I might make a ramble type post, if I have anything Smash related to get off my chest.
Rep/Reputation

Let's start with rep. By this I mean the reputation points. You get a lot of rep for being featured and from the likes and comments. Me and Myrrusz are both really close in rep, and we were going to try and overtake Matt but uhh... He's back now so yeah. That might not happen.
I don't really think too many people make posts for the rep, but it is a benefit to blogging so I thought it was worth including. It's a shame that rep is completely useless.
Now onto reputation.
By reputation I'm talking about your online reputation. If you make a lot of posts, you can make a name for yourself here. There's have been multiple s who are well known for constantly blogging and making quality content, like Matt and Cirno.
Damn, anyone Cirno?
I can understand if you want to make a name for yourself here, and if that's what you're trying to do then I respect it.
Comments

You may like a getting nice comments too, it might even make your day.
While good comments are nice, you'll probably get some negative ones, every community has toxic people though, so don't let it get you down. I make some controversial posts sometimes and I've definitely had some negative comments. The best thing to do is just ignore them.
Just make sure you know the difference between constructive criticism and hate. Constructive criticism can help you improve your posts so if someone offers you advice and says you can improve at X, think about it since they are most likely just trying to help you improve.
Sharing Opinions

Like I mentioned previously, I have made some controversial posts. I like sharing my opinions to see what other people have to say, and it can be nice to have civilised debates sometimes too.
We all have some wacky opinions, and sharing them is always a fun time. I also might make another about why Mario is underrated in Ultimate, so uuh yeah look out for that if I eventually do it. Now let's get onto...
Why I blog

My reasons for blogging are a bit strange. There have been posts where I did it to help people, give my own opinion, I always try and add my own personality in my posts and I used to do a lot of shitposts, so I guess to make people laugh could be another reason. I also just kind of enjoy blogging. Here's where it gets strange though...
I like to listen to music. Mainly rap. I am the type of person who can't just sit down and listen to songs; I need to be doing something. Blogging fits that gap perfectly for me.
You'd think that music, especially rap due to how fast it gets, would distract me. It does but it doesn't at the same time. My mind would drift off without it and I would get bored so it helps keep me on track. At the same time sometimes it gets hard to focus, but I'm fine taking things slow since without music I'm not sure if I'd do this at all.
Overall for me the pros of music outweigh the cons and it helps me. Yeah, I haven't heard anyone else say this is a reason they post, so you get an exclusive inside into my weird mind.
Other Bloggers Reasons

"Hmm lessee
Because I can.
-It's a nice way to kill time when I don't have access to wi-fi (although these days I almost always have mobile data but whatever)
-I enjoy sharing my thoughts and knowledge of the Smash series
-For a while I was known as that guy who posts blogs like every day so I kept up that reputation for a bit
-There were some times where there wasn't a lot to feature, so blogging a lot was also a way of making the curators and leaders' jobs of featuring posts frequently a little bit easier"
Matt gave a lot of good reasons, and it was an interesting insight into why he blogs.

"First of all, I just enjoy talking about Smash. But also, the satisfaction of a blog doing well is great.
Also I gotta catch Matt on the leaderboards
Also also I can bs a tier list for a game I've never played and get easy feature with 400+ comments lmao"
I wrote the Matt part before I asked for Miles why he posts lmao. (Myrrusz' tier was definitely uhh... interesting.)

"I blog because I enjoy it, as simple as that. I really enjoy writing and so I use Amino to spread my ideas and opinions out to the world."
A simple and good reason. Like I mentioned earlier, people enjoy blogging and that's probably the main reason people do it.

"The reason why I choose to blog on Amino is that it's a ive way to practice my writing (now in front of a sizable audience). Although most of what I do is opinion pieces, they still give me an opportunity to try and portray a certain idea or character to see what does and doesn't work.
In my bio, I listed the reason why I ed Amino in the first place was to find an answer to a random question about the differences in both versions of ssb4's for glory. That turned into posting memes to writing actual blogs. That transition came naturally as I became more familiar with the tools provided. And at the moment, it only makes sense to continue of there's a sense of progression. Whether that be the quality of my blogs themselves or the response they get, avoiding stagnation should always be the number 1 goal."
This was a really good response and I like how he wants to keep improving and getting better.
And that's gonna do it for this post. Hopefully it was insightful about the reasons people blog here.
Bi.
