So I watched a video asking a similar question about pizza. Little Mac hasn't been shown eating pizza, but in Wii, he's shown eating a chocolate bar. Now I wonder... Who's eaten chocolate? I've done some research, and now I shall show who from the 64 cast(featuring Dark Samus) has eaten chocolate. There are 4 tiers. They've eaten it, they know it exists, can't eat it at all, and don't know it exists.
01. Mario. Mario hasn't really been shown chowing down on some cocoa in the games, there is Chocolate Cake in 2 Paper Mario games. Those are Thousand-Year Door and Super Paper Mario.
02. DK. I didn't really look into any Mario Party mini games cause I don't wanna look into multiple games just to see if they eat chocolate at all. While I haven't seen DK eat chocolate itself, I do know there's a chocolate level in DKC Returns, so he at least knows it exists.
03. Link. So I looked through the LoZ Wiki, and I don't really see any chocolate-related things. I did look up "LoZ Link with chocolate" and in BotW, there's a 10,000 year old chocolate replica of the Hyrule Castle, so he definitely knows it exists.
04. Samus. We don't really see her eat chocolate, she's human. She should at least know it exists.
04e. Dark Samus. They're basically an alien. They likely don't know what chocolate even is.
05. Yoshi. He's technically in Thousand-Year Door. That counts, right?
06. Kirby. There have been multiple chocolate-related food items in multiple Kirby games. Ice Cream, Chocolate Cakes, and Chocolate Bars. There may or may not be more than that tho.
07. Fox. We haven't really seen any food items in the Star Fox franchise. Even then, foxes can't really eat chocolate, so Fox himself likely can't even eat chocolate.
08. Pikachu. Idk, man. I just scrolled through the Cafe ReMix food items until I saw something that I could confirm is chocolate. There's Hot Chocolate. Almost any Pokémon can order anything, so theoretically, most Pokémon in Smash can order Hot Cocoa.
09. Luigi. He's playable in Super Paper Mario. He can very likely eat Chocolate Cake.
10. Ness. There are chocolate chip cookies in Earthbound.
11. Captain Falcon. He's rarely seen outside his car. He probably knows what it is tho.
12. Jigglypuff. Refer to Pikachu.
