If Smash Had DLC Alts Pt. 1

Ayy.

Sup nerds It Is I, RJ and what if Smash added dlc for recolors? I was originally inspired by OHKO and Siiroth’s videos where they give additional recolors and alternate costumes.

I’ll be giving Every single character 2 new alts, giving every character 10 alts in total. If a character has an alternate costume then I’ll make 1 for it’s default costume and another for their alternate.

I made all of these except for 2. And I’ll be showing some progress shots in the comments. If an alt doesn’t have a progress shot it’s probably because I made it before realized I should probably have some progress shots or They were the one of the 2 I didn’t make.

Alright, well let’s get to the recolors!

𝕄𝕒𝕣𝕚𝕠

Alt 1-

This is obviously based off Fire Mario. What can I say other than this didn’t deserve to be cut. I know It was replaced by Mario’s Wedding outfit but Fire Mario is one of the most iconic Mario power up only second to Super Mushroom. And I just don’t see the problem with Mario having 2 white alts especially since G&W has 3 blue alts and Terry has 2 black alts.

Changes-

Turned the Hat and Shirt to white, turned overalls red and turned the “M“ on the hat to a brighter shade of red.

Alt 2-

It was a tough decision between recoloring Builder Mario or Wedding Mario but I think I made the right choice. This is based off the Musician outfit that Mario can wear in Mario Odyssey which is easily my favorite outfit in the game. Honestly if this was actually in the game it’d be my favorite alt ever put in a smash game.

Changes-

I didn’t actually recolor his actual wedding alt since the app I use to recolor doesn’t work well with white objects so I used a recolor made by @zieguy on Twitter. Changed Jacket, buttons and pants dark red, changed Undershirt and shoes black, changed bowtie and top hat ribbon silver.

𝔻𝕠𝕟𝕜𝕖𝕪 𝕂𝕠𝕟𝕘

Alt 1-

I based this off Lanky Kong and imma be honest, I don’t like it. It just looks bland and doesn’t look like an alt you should be paying for. I was orriginally gonna give him a bit of a darker skin tone because of Orangutans, what Lanky Kong is based off but that looked really bad so I decided to keep his regular skin tone.

Changes-

Changed fur to orange, changed tie to cyan and changed the “DK” logo on the tie a red-ish white

Alt 2-

This is based off Chunky Kong. I decided to give him Chunky’s because I thought it’d look even more bland than the last alt without it. Even though it still looks very bland. I’m pretty disappointed in myself with DK’s alts but to be fair, their isn’t really much to do with a character that’s just an ape with a tie.

Changes-

Changed fur to a darker brown, changed tie to blue, changed the “DK” logo on the tie a pale green and gave him a hat.

𝕃𝕚𝕟𝕜

Alt 1-

This is based off Wolf Link from Twilight Princess and holy shit I love it. Like damn I really out done myself here. I was originally gonna change his hair Dark Green as a reference to Wolf Link’s mane but then I changed it back to original coloration, but I think some of you would still like so I’ll put that in the comments.

Changes-

Changed the Tunic, Shield, Glove, Master sword hilt, and Baldric black. Changed Pants, Boots and sleeves a darker brown. Changed The Master Sword, outlining of the shield and shield decoration a dark green. Changed the Triforce on the shield and baldric decorations Silver. Changed the Hylian crest Gold.

Alt 2-

This is based off Ocarina of Time Link aka Smash 64 and melee link. It’d made sense to have it since he already has one based off TP link. I feel like out of all the characters I’ve made alts for so far, Link easily has the best ones.

Changes-

changed the tunic to a more saturated green, changed the sleeves and and shorts white, changed the boots a brighter shade of brown and changed the sword hilt and baldric purple.

𝕊𝕒𝕞𝕦𝕤

Alt 1-

This is based of Sylux from the Metroid Prime series and this and Samus’ other alt were hands down the easiest alts to make despite how detailed her design is, but anyways I still like it.

Changes-

I changed the entire fucking render Purple

Alt 2-

This is based off Trace, another Metroid Prime character and this was a pretty easy to make as well, not as much as the last one since I had to change the blaster and green parts different colors.

Changes-

Changed blaster to black, changed the blaster lights to red, changed the suit lights to grey and changed the suit to red.

𝕐𝕠𝕤𝕙𝕚

Alt 1-

I had to do it. Black Yoshi was snubbed. I know one of his alts had to go because they wanted to promote Crafted World but why not just have a Crafted World stage? That would’ve been cool and it’s what they did with Wooly World in Smash 4.

Changes-

Changed all Green parts to black, Changed shoes to White and changed it’s spikes Red-Orange

Alt 2-

This is of course based off Orange Yoshi. But since I said if a character has an alternate costume, it has to have a recolor. So boom, Crafted Orange Yoshi it’s render might look good but it’s model will probably look fucking disgusting. Just like actual crafted alt!

Changes-

Changed all Green parts to Orange, changed shoes to cyan, and changed the Orange spots to Yellow-Orange.

𝕂𝕚𝕣𝕓𝕪

Alt 1-

This is based off Prince Fluff from Kirby Epic Yarn and i’m very disappointed in how it turned out. I orriginally thought to give him a crown but then I decided not to because of his copy abilites. And I only now just thought the crown just wouldn’t show up when He gets a copy ability.

Changes-

Changed the body to a pale light blue, changed the shoes (or feet idfk) to orange and the cheeks and eyes to black

Alt 2-

Alright, you saw it in the thumbnail, Classic Kirby! This based off Kirby’s original design before he was redesigned in Kirby 64(?) I think I had a missed opportunity to make his hands more triangular but other than that, I really love this I think most of you would love it too.

Changes- Gave the body a paler shade of pink, gave his shoes (or feet) a brighter shade of red and gave him a completely new face.

𝔽𝕠𝕩

Alt 1-

This is based off Fox’s Childhood best friend and the Commander of the Husky and Bulldog Squadron, Bill Grey. Bill actually has 2 different designs that both never actually show the bottom of his body or his eye color so I sorta mashed them up together while also adding unique designs to him as well.

Changes-

Changed his fur brown, changed his jacket green and black, changed his eye color purple, changed his gloves grey and yellow, changed his changed his suit black, changed his scarf yellow and changed his boots green, yellow and red.

Alt 2-

This is based off the son of Fox and Krystal, Marcus Mccloud and no this isn’t an oc, this an actual canon character with his first and so far only appearance in Starfox Command’s end credits. Their isn’t that much I changed since I had only 2 photos to work with and both of them were pretty much just Fox but with blue fur, a curl in his fur and a yellow suit. I just thought Fox should have an alt not even most starfox fans would get the reference to

Changes-

Changed Fur to cyan, changed the highlighting of the jacket and boots black, changed the suit to yellow.

Alt 1-

Ash Pikachu. Theirs really nothing I have to say here. Just Ash Pikachu

Changes-

I gave him ash’s original hat edited his ears around, and gave made the render a bit more saturated just to give a more Anime Pikachu feel.

Alt 2-

An alternate recolor for Pikachu Libre. This is based off her Player 2 recolor in Pokken Tournament where her suit changes blue. I also decided to base the pokeball on her shirt off a great ball.

Changes-

changed the orange parts on the suit to blue and made the pokeball on her shirt resemble a Great Ball.

Alt 1-

This is of course based off Ice Luigi and ment to be a parallel to Mario’s Fire Mario. I’m genuenly suprised neither Luigi or Mario has had an Ice flower alt yet.

Changes-

Changed his hat and shirt cyan and his overalls green.

Alt 2-

Mr. L. As you can tell I didn’t make this and I have no idea who did but it looks cool shout out to whoever made it

Alt 1-

This is based off one of Ness’ team , Paula and I really like it. I litterally don’t know wtf else to say I just like it.

Changes-

changed the hat Yellow and hot pink to resemble Paula’s hair and bow, changed the shirt to pink and white, changed the shorts to pink, changed the buckles to black, changed the backpack to a darker shade of brown and changed the shoes to hot pink.

Alt 2-

Since we had one based off Paula, we gotta have one for Poo. I’m a sucker for black alts so I really like this.

Changes-

changed everything black and white lol

ℂ𝕒𝕡𝕥𝕒𝕚𝕟 𝔽𝕒𝕝𝕔𝕠𝕟

Alt 1-

This is based off Mach Rider. F-Zero is said to be the spiritual successor so I thoght a Mach Rider alt would make sense for Falcon.

Changes-

changed the suit to a brighter shade of blue, changed scarf, shoulder pad, and boots red, changed the gloves and holster black and changed the helmet white with red accents.

Alt 2-

This is based off the original nes box art cover for Excite Bite, where the excite biker wears orange. But since the excite biker is literally just wearing an Orange jumpsuit, I had to come up with some original ideas. I just think Falcon would look really good with orange and I’m genuenly suprised he hasn’t had one yet.

Changes-

Changed the suit orange, changed the scarf and sholder pad black, changed the gloves and boots white, changed the holster red and changed the helmet black with white accents. The helmet on the box art is actually white with black accents but I decided to reverse it just because I thought a primarily black helmet would look cooler than a white one.

𝕁𝕚𝕘𝕘𝕝𝕪𝕡𝕦𝕗𝕗

Alt 1-

Another alt I didn’t make...kind of. So this has 2 references, the obvious one being the iconic hungrybox Green Headband and Shiny Jigglypuff. Now I didn’t add the headband but I did decide have it resemble Puff’s shiny since The green headband was only in melee and Melee puff’s eyes were mistakenlly green just like her shiny. Idk who added the headband but shouts out to them.

Changes-

Literally all I did was use the recolor tool on the color changing app I use and one of the recolors just so happened to be he shiny lol.

Alt 2-

This is based off Marril and it looks ugly

Changes-

I made the body blue, the inside of the ears, pink and the eyes grey. I tried to give it Marril’s white fur stomach, but due to the fact puff doesn’t fucking have a stomach, It looks like someone busted a nut on it and I hate it.

Alright, that’s it! Now I will be making more of these but not that frequently since thinking of smash alts that actually look good is actually pretty hard but I just wanted to post this for the good ol’ #TwilightWings event. But that’s all for now.
