If Smash Characters Had Pokemon Pt. 2 Melee

Ayy. Sup nerds it is I, RJ. So if you haven’t noticed, (hopefully you did),this a part 2 so if you haven’t read the first part here it is Part.1. Alright did you read it? Of course you didn’t. Welcome back to If Smash Characters Had Pokemon. Last time we talked about the Original smash 64 characters. This time, It’s for the Melee Newcomers. Now let’s get to the actual blog

Peach

Peach’s team consists of Shiinotic and Breloom because they’re both Mushrooms and Peach is the princess of the mushroom kingdom.

Jigglypuff because of it’s ability to make people and and other Pokémon fall asleep by singing, something that peach was able to do in Mario RPG. Same with Primarina

And Vespiquen amd Tsareena because they’re both based off of queens and royalty

Bowser

Bowser’s team consists of Turtonator because of it’s similarities to bowser’s design and abilities. Drednaw and Mega Tyranitar also because of their similarities to bowser

Drampa because of Drampa’s love for children and Bowser’s got a lot of children so a Drampa’s gonna be pretty useful for him.

Pyroar because of it’s Fire abilities and it’s the King Pokémon

And Gyrados because of Bowser’s anger issues

A shiny mega gyrados would’ve made a lot more sense but I completely forgot they existed

Ice Climbers

Ice Climbers’s team consists of Plusle and Minun obviously because of Teamwork theme. Which is also why they have Vanilluxe.

Beartic as a reference to the Polar Bear from Ice Climber

Rampardos since it’s really the closest thing to a “hammer Pokémon”

And Oddish as reference to how Popo and Nana collect vegetables after you finish a level in Ice Climber.

Zelda/Sheik

ok so for Zelda and Sheik’s team, I decided to have 2 Pokémon referring to Zelda, 2 referring to Sheik and the rest referring to them as a whole.

Zelda’s team consists of Gardevoir because of their Magical abilities and how Gardevoir is half based off of royalty and Princesses

Uxie because of the Lake Trio and it’s similarities to the Triforce. Uxie is the lake mythical for wisdom just like how Zelda has the Triforce of Wisdom

Greninja, Weavile, and Zoarark all because their Similar fighting styles to Sheik

And Mega Medicham because it’s psychic powers and fighting style both representing Zelda and Sheik

Dr. Mario

Doc’s team consists of Phd Cosplay Pikachu. I thought I would be a nice touch since I gave Mario a pikachu on his team last blog, so I decided to give Mario dressed as a doctor a Pikachu dressed as a doctor. I’m a bloody genius

Chansey and Audino because they’re both used by Nurses in the Pokémon games

Cubchoo because it’s the flu Pokémon

Impidimp as a reference to the Viruses from the Dr. Mario games

and then there’s Venipede. Who’s basically here for a pun. It’s partly based off of a Roly Poly, which are also known as Pill Bugs. Pill Bugs.

Falco

I was a little disappointed about how the team I came up for Fox so I decided to try harder for Falco

Corviknight because their both birds. Also because Gigantimax Corviknight kinda looks likes an Arwing. Same with Salamence and Crobat

Swellow also has the same reasoning as Corviknight, Salamence and Crobat Also because of the similarities of their Personalities.

Liepard as a reference to Kat Monroe. Who’s Falco’s love interest in the Star Fox games

And Hitmonlee because of Falco and Fox’s main usage of kicking in their moveset.

Marth

Marth’s team consists of Mega Gallade because of it’s swordplay, and it’s partly based off of royalty

Pyroar for being the King Pokémon, and Marth is known as the Hero King

Falinks because of how Marth lead his

Army in the Final battle against Hardin

Zacian because of the sword and how Marth is treated like a legend in some of the FE games

Kommo-O because of the many dragons in the FE games

And Rapidash because of Marth being the king of the Archanea alliance and It’s symbol.

Young Link

Yink’s team consists of Farfetch’d because their young, inexperienced almost scrappy fighting style

Grookey because of them both being young but also because of They both use instruments. Yink’s ocarina and Grookey’s stick

Yamask as a reference to

Majora’s Mask

Torchic as a reference to Cuccos

Ribbombee as a reference to Navi

And Celeby because it’s a green pointy headed time traveler. Just like Yink!

Ganondorf

Ganondorf’s team consists of Emboar because it’s a giant fat angry antro king pig. Just like Ganon in some of the Zelda games.

Mega Mewtwo X because They’re both incredibly powerful and intelligent

And Grimmsnarl, Gengar, Malamar, and Hoopa Unbound are all widely considered to be some of the most evil Pokémon in The Pokémon universe. Also Grimmsnarl and it’s line can only be male sorta like how Ganondorf is the only male gerudo.

Roy

Roy’s team consists of Infernape because

Their Fire abilities and similar personalities

Litleo because of Roy’s nickname, The Young Lion. Hehe get it? Because it’s a young lion. I’m a comedic genius

Shiny Ponyta because of it’s Fire abilities and how similar it looks to Roy and his father’s horse

Salamence because of how similar it looks to Roy as a Manakete

Keldeo because of how Roy had to full in for his father and become a soldier even though he was only 15 years old. Similar to how Keldeo became part of the 4 Swords Of Justice Legendary Pokémon

Jolteon just because I feel like They would get along

Mr. Game And Watch

I based all of G&W’s Pokémon off of G&W games

Octillery as a reference to Octopus

Turtwig as a reference to Turtle Bridge

Rotom Heat as a reference to Chef

Voltorb as a reference to Ball

And then there’s Mr. Mime as a reference to G&W personality (or lack of personality) and Stunfisk because their both flat.
