It appears quite a few people have ed the group and are confused as to what we mean with the term “small” or “exotic” pets. Here is a list of animals that we mean. I would also like to ask that you check out the #LeaderReview so we can fact check it.

A list of animals that we focus on in SAWA:

Rodents (hamsters, mice, gerbils, chinchillas, etc)

Reptiles (Turtles/tortoises, Lizards, Snakes, etc)

Amphibians (salamanders, newts, frogs, toads, etc)

Invertebrates (arachnids, crustaceans, terrestrial invertebrates, etc)

Birds (Poultry, budgies, conures, African greys, etc)

Other small mammals (ferrets, hedgehogs, rabbits, etc)

Aquatics (freshwater fish and marine fish)
