With Maple in Episode 5 it was apparent that she was going thru a lot, especially with the whole dead family thing and process of conversion. In episode 4 you could tell she was upset and angry, she probably regretted making friends with Sal, but without him she wouldn’t have met Chug and had Soda so a little bit of her must still like him in of just that.
