:wave: my felllow Selenators! Hope everyone’s staying healthy and safe. I am! It’s been twenty-three days since I posted the last installment of this blog. It’s about time for another installment! Today’s series is The Proud Family. This show aired on Disney on September 15, 2001 and ended at August 15, 2005. The show is about fifteen year old Penny Proud living with her family, goes to school and hangs with her friends.
During the time the show aired, Selena would of been nine to thirteen. If she did voice a character, she could be a friend, or relative of LaCienega’s who is of Spanish descent. She could also play another classmate of theirs that moved to their town and went to their school. That character could have stayed, or moved again somewhere else and we would never see her in the show.
As you can see, I’ve included a behind the scenes video of The Proud Family new series entitled Prouder and Louder. That’s on Disney +. I haven’t seen it, but I plan to. If Selena was on this show, she would probably play an older relative of LaCienega’s, a teacher at their school, or any other adult in the characters lives. Selena would be perfect to voice a character on these shows! Especially since she loves her fans and people no matter the color of their skin. Just like a goddess should.
