Science Amino Applications are Open!

Hello people, how are you doing? Well, I am here to announce that we have opened the applications for the Science Amino Staff Team.

First of all, the applications won't be in comment nor blog format. It will be done through a Google Form which will be available in the end of this blog.

Now, before applying for it, bear in mind that being part of the Staff requires responsibilities and that we will have some criteria in order to choose the new Curators (and maybe Leaders).

So, here are some of the criteria that we will use:

Member Time

How long have you been a member here? One year? One month? One week? Or just a couple of days?

It might seen as an easy and not-so-important question, but it actually tells a lot about what you know about our community and how much experience you have here. So, the longer you have been here, the better it will be for you.

So, with 100+ days are the optimal for us.

Level

However, how long you have been here isn't everything, the level also is, since it is an interesting way for us to analyze how active and how much you have contributed to Science Amino. After all, somebody who just appears to do check-ins and doesn't interact nor contributes in any way probably won't fit as part of the SciA Team.

So, having that in mind we are looking mainly for Level 8+ .

Activeness

Okay, you can be Level 8+ and have been a member here for 100+ days, but what about your activity? Staff need to be more active than most of the regular , since we have to moderate and take care of the community, after all we don't want people that just appears once in a while.

So, at least 100+ minutes per week shall be the requirement (come on, it isn't that high, is it? It means roughly 15 minutes per day).

Your Age

I know, I know, some children can be pretty mature and some adults can be rather childish, but before you start criticizing me and cursing this recruitment blog, just let me tell you that the age isn't that big of a deal.

Despite what I said before, the most usual are people getting more mature and responsible over the years, but older people also have busier lifes, so the minimum age won't be too high nor too low.

It isn't optimal, but we want people that are 13+, which shouldn't be a problem for most of you, since Amino is rated PG-13. See? No need to throw rocks at me.

Behaviour

Well, let's be honest okay? Nobody wants somebody who behaviours badly as a leader nor as a member of the staff, so you need to have a good behaviour in order to be accepted as part of the team.

Even though we don't have a "No Strikes" requirement for this application, we do keep an eye on what you guys do and so we, we have a notion of how you are and how do you behave.

Team Work

And the last, but not least: Team Work.

You can't do everything on your own, can you? It would be pretty demanding and even if you could, you are not alone in the staff team, so team work is essential if you want to be part of any group, in this case the SciA Staff.

Well, those aren't the only criteria and if I would to write them all, we could stay here all the weekend, but the ones that I mentioned are certainly the most important things. The other points will be judged according and through the Google Form.

Exceptions

So, you don't meet all the requirements or even none of them? Well, don't be afraid, you can still try to apply for the Team, but the likelihood of you being accepted aren't that high, so try meeting them as soon as possible if you wish to be part of the Science Amino Team!
