What’s your name and is there a reason behind choosing this name maybe?
My online alias' full name is Ari Kate Emerson, and there's a story behind it! I am a philosopher to the core and while I was on philosophy amino I changed my name to Aristophanes which is pronounced <air•uh•stah•fun•ēēz >. He was an ancient Greek comedic playwright who wrote "The Clouds," a play that famously comes up in Plato's "Apology" of Socrates and everyone kept butchering my/his name in live chats.
One day someone in the chat used the pronunciation <uh•riss•tuh•fane•ēs > so in frustration I told the group to hang on, muted the call and hit the backspace button to change my name to anything else, and when I got to the Ari part I thought "this looks easy enough to pronounce" and it's been my name ever since, but I abbreviate it to A.K. Emerson and prefer to be called Kate. I'm complicated. 🙃
How old are you?
Or if you’re in school what grade are you in and what do you want to study after you finish school? College: what are you studying and why did you choose this field?

What field of science interests you the most and why?
Was there something that inspired you when you were young? Maybe someone?
I really love all science, but astrophysics and astronomy are my favorite fields to learn about and read. Anatomy and Physiology was something I liked because it came very easily to me, but I'd say Organic Chemistry and Biology are my least favorite general fields.

I am planning to be a Certified Master Six Sigma Black Belt (CMSSBB) in the future, hopefully 10-15 years from now. I currently have a certification as a Six Sigma Black Belt in Human Resources (BBHR) but want a more intensive certification course and exam.

Who’s your favorite scientist and why?
Tell us a bit about how did you know about him/her? Any favorite quotes by him/her?
Carl Sagan. I used to put on The Cosmos on Netflix every night before bed about 6-8 years ago and it would always put me at ease and to sleep. Also, he was the great scientific storyteller of his time (the 80s), similar to a Neil de Grasse Tyson today. Great storytelling is one of the hardest things to do for people with technical or scientific minds so I respect that about him a lot.
"Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there-on" - Pale Blue Dot: A Vision of the Human Future in Space, Carl Sagan
What’s your favorite scientific book?
You can even mention any sci-fi books you have read and really like.
Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut. It's a historical fiction novel based off Vonnegut's own experiences during WWII and the main protagonist, Billy Pilgrim, is a time traveler. It's my favorite book of all time and it's on the table next to me!

And at last, describe yourself in a few words.
Maybe mention your good and bad traits. What are your hobbies? Any DIY or small inventions/experiments that you did? Whatever you like ;P
I am smart, spicy, sweet, innovative, confident, lazy and motivated all in one, anxious, fun and focused on continuously improving throughout life until the very end. I like to run, hike, and be outdoors but I also love and can't live without copious amounts of solitude and alone time. That's when I read books, studies, develop my career/life goals, listen to music, watch YT, Netflix, Disney+, browse social media apps, listen to Joe Rogan Experiences' podcast and/or draw.
