TO MY SWORD ART ONLINE MEMORY DEFRAG

Boy that was a mouthful-

After what seems like forever, I’m back from my hiatus/Leave.

And hardly anyone knows me now because I was gone for so long, and most of my old friends from 2 years ago probably forgot about me. Save for a few.

Anyways, for the majority, let me introduce myself.

I am AzuR9.

Other aliases/past names include: DeltaR9, Delta, Azure, AzureR9, Lad, and other stuff I honestly forgot. I’m not good with ing what people call me.

I primarily did these custom characters thing years ago and due to a sudden burst of inspiration, and wonder, I decided to pick it up again and start this new series of mine.

Which I doubt anyone will see because I do these posts in wiki entries and no checks wiki entries—

Being honest, I haven’t checked any recent custom MD characters posts for the sake of pertaining to my classic style. So disclaimer to those who may think I may be copying people.

Water-Dark Dual Wielder.

Water-Dark is a hybrid element. Seeing as some event boss monsters in the game are hybrid types, it wouldn’t be too far off to see the units themselves being Hybrid Typed.

Incarnate Night Sky Sword and Blue Rose Sword

Explanation:

As an obvious Canon choice, the Night Sky and Blue Rose Swords are the main weapons of this version of Kirito. There’s nothing more fitting!

Some may ask:

”Why isn’t it the Blood/Red Rose Sword?”

Well, I like the parallel it gives towards Kirito’s original dual blades, Elucidator, and the Dark Repulser in of color and aesthetics. It also symbolizes Kirito’s return to form to his peak strength. That and it’s accurate to future chapters too.

Armor:

Incarnated Blackwyrm Coat

Element:

Dark

Battle Skills

•HP+10%&Def-5%

•Atk+5% (Kirito)

Explanation:

Much like the Incarnated versions of the Night Sky Sword and the Blue Rose sword, the Blackwyrm coat is essentially an Incarnated version of the Blackwyrm coat that we don’t have in MD at the moment.

It makes sense that the “incarnated” title is attached as the coat shows up on Kirito via Incarnation. This specific incarnation is the will and image of Kirito associating himself back to his <<Black Swordsman>> days, despite his prior reluctance the first time his coat was incarnated on him.

Accessory

A Certain Blue Rose

Element:

Water

Battle Skills:

•All Stats+4% (Kirito, Eugeo)

Explanation:

A certain Blue Rose that belonged to a former blue knight. This accessory serves as a remembrance and a source of hope and determination for Kirito to keep moving forward despite his deceased friend.

This is not canon to anything. I just thought this would be a fitting accessory for Kirito despite how much Blue Rose accessories we already have. And instead of this being in a banner, it would preferably be an event given item, with it effects only activating when equipped on Kirito or Eugeo himself.

Sword Skills

SS1

Double Circular

(MP:45, 2-hit, Single Target)

Double Circular is one of the most basic Dual Blades sword skill. Kirito uses this move a good amount of times in the series, and the picture above is similar to the typical start-up animation to Double Circular.

Going away from this simplicity, we have something more complex.

SS2

Vorpal Sins

(MP: 80, 8-hits, Single Target)

<<Vorpal Sins>> is the name I made up for the skill connect between <<Deadly Sins>> And <<Vorpal Strike>>!

The reason I chose this as his SS2 is because, well, it’s not too much of a spoiler, but this was the first sword skill, rather, sword skills, Kirito did upon waking up from his coma-induced state in the Underworld.

As such, the procedure is simply these two combined.

”But what does Deadly Sins even look like?”

I hear some of you ask. Well, in this case where a specific sword skill is uncommon, I’ll have it laid out in picture form as we can imagine it easily, along with a step by step word guide. And here it is now!

Procedure

(This would be faster in game. And since this SS2 has a decent hit count, the MP will be higher than standard.)

SS3

Release Recollection: Night-Rose Stream

(MP:110, 27-hits)

Finally, the pinnacle of every single MD character, Sword Skill 3. You like the gif? It took 15 minutes for my friend and I to get enough takes for this. I would shout him out, but he doesn’t have an amino . But props to him anyways! It’s also not the actual way the skill goes, but it’s a nice alternative at least.

Back on topic, Release Recollection: Night-Sky Stream is the result of the combination of <<Starburst Stream>>, Night Sky, and Blue Rose. Thus forming a massive combo with a hit count that rivals <<The Eclipse>> with 27 hits total.

Now, I wouldn’t just make up a random SS3 without referring to a source, that’s not my style. But the problem with my source is that the scenario it’s found in is very spoiler heavy. As it covers some endgame bits of the Alicization war. So for now you’ll just have to with with what’s presented in the procedure.

So you might be wondering.

”Where are the stat numbers?!”

I don’t do that sort of thing either, making up numbers combined with the skill slot numbers seems too much at that point. This was made not to set a bar with stats, but just to give input on what the character would be like, at the least.

And generally almost all 6 stars and weapons have somewhat similar stats anyways.

Another question you may have is...

”Why is this a Wiki entry and not a post?”

Simple. Wiki entries have double the phot limit. So I can work with 50 photos/gifs instead of just measly 25. That and it’s easy to scroll through in my profile, it adds convenience.

And one more question may be...

”What is the reason for this whole series of yours?”

Simply put. This is my “what if” to any character or iteration of said character that isn’t in MD. It may be beyond the realm of possibilities knowing Bamco sometimes, especially with this amount of love and research the went into just a simple character, but even still I find joy in imagining and sharing to all what these characters could or could’ve been like if they were in the game and given a little more thought into.

If there’s no more questions, I gotta say it’s good to be back.

Putting in 3 days worth of work into this was difficult, but I’m glad I pulled it off. I’m not an artist in any way shape or form, but I made up for it with edits and screen caps so I can at least show to you all my vision in one sense.

All edits, gifs, and screen caps are all mine. I just don’t own the assets I used to make the edits such as the pictures and such, and those shots that were ripped from the anime like in the procedure aren’t mine obviously. But I had a blast either way.

Honestly I wouldn’t be back if it weren’t for the constant chat notifications reminding me of this place. That and these bois seeming to give me the push I needed to get back online. And I’m glad I did.

I’m planning on staying for long this time. So hopefully ya’ll can look forward to the content I can produce in the future.

Still, shout out to Xerion for me providing ‘shelter’ as I slowly regained footing here (Aka memechat), those two are my best buds ever since two years ago. And I’m glad they still me, and I really appreciate it too.
