PSA: RT Shutdown Posts

Ohayo everynyan! Miles here with a staff PSA regarding the recent news about the RT shutdown.

The (brief) Context

A few days ago RT announced that it will be shutting down. There is not much info about the future of the company besides this, but for more context and/or news, check this RWBYA News post as well as this article from the Austin Chronicle.

What Do Now?

While this is stressful news to hear, first of all, do NOT panic.

There is a possibility that RWBY will be picked up by another studio or company and Volume 10 will eventually be greenlit for production. Maybe even of CRWBY will be able to nab the show and continue the story we all know and love.

Additionally, in light of this recent event, we have decided to set down guidelines for posting anything related to this topic.

ALLOWED CONTENT

- Posts expressing your own thoughts or feelings about the shutdown (such as anxiety or sadness),

- Posts with *proper* criticisms or critical thoughts regarding the matter,

- Posts that are encouraging in nature to boost other RWBYA ' morale, and

- Comments or messages that are in line with any of the aforementioned points.

BANNED CONTENT

- Posts meant to attack or insult RT in a mocking manner,

- Posts meant to induce panic among regarding the matter,

- Any FAKE news or claims about RT that are not posted by any credible sources,

- Posts that are "anti-woke" in nature and provoke other s to fight or harass one another, and

- Any comments or messages that fall in line with any of the aforementioned points.

If you see any content that may be in violation of what has been listed in here and in the guidelines, kindly report it to a or Salt-Bloc member.

Aahh... It was a Good Run.

Things will always come and go. Some of them will be fast and others will be slow. RT's shutdown is no different.

The fun thing is that it's lasted this long, thanks to the fans of its shows and podcasts—us, the fans of RWBY, for example. No doubt your and love for RWBY (and other RT content) has helped its staff keep going.

Despite this happening, let's not lose heart and forget to be kind. There are things we do not know yet and we may never get the whole story at all, but that does not give us the excuse to become bitter or entitled. Instead, please use this opportunity to continue doing good and ing the community in a healthy manner.

In these times, it's best to be a beacon of encouragement and comfort to those who need it—just as how Beacon and its fellow Academies were meant to be ones full of hope for a world plagued by destruction and evil.
