OC Themes
Those who have glanced over my profiles might’ve noticed that somewhere towards the top of the profile, I always link two songs for each character. The first song is a normal theme, while the second is a battle theme. But these aren’t just random!
Thing is, you can learn a lot about a person by the type of music they listen to! Sometimes through lyrics, other times through melodies, or even the kinds of instruments! When I choose a theme for a character, it’s not uncommon for it to be a tedious process. I have to take into both what fits the character best thematically and what I think that character would like to listen to into , and many times have to sacrifice one over the other. Ultimately, the end goal is to find a way to interpret that character’s feelings in a way that words often fail to.
And I’m not the only one who does these! Many other people put themes for their OCs in their profiles too! I encourage you to listen to music you see in profiles that you like. Oftentimes it can help you see what that character might be like— or what they may be hiding :eyes:
