Soul Investigation

Jamie sat down on a chair while Haley took a microscope and an extended tube to attach the microscope, so he didn't need to put Jamie's soul “into” the microscope. The way the extended tube works is complicated, with a normal tube you wouldn't be able to see like a microscope, but this one that Haley's using works with magic. There's a special place for a finger to put in, it needs a mage to activate the tube and even if Haley isn't a mage as his occupation, he can still use magic.

"Ouch-", Haley huffed as he placed his finger to the special place, it pinched him since there was a needle that'll instantly poke and start taking some blood, the longer he uses, the more the tube will drain. It's an dangerous thing that shouldn't be taking lightly.

"You alright?", Jamie asked.

"Yes, I don't want to put your soul into the microscope, so I'm using this extended tube to see what your soul is made of.", Haley answered biting his lower lip.

"I'll take notesngh-!", Jamie winced slightly.

"Sorry, I should've said when I'll use it, but yeah go on.", Haley apologized. He had placed the other end that wasn't attached to anything against Jamie's soul.

Jamie took notes while Haley looked through his soul with microscope, telling different types of things, such as different types of protein and an type of magic Jamie possesses, and many types of vitamins.

"I think the proteins and vitamins might be the main things that'll keep Karma alive, but also something that makes souls.. well, souls.", Jamie stated.

"Yeah, I'd like to take an x-ray kind of thing to see what kind of thing.", Haley said as he removed the tube from touching Jamie's soul.

The weird tingling sensation was still present in Jamie which he was very uncomfortable with.

"Tho that might have an negative effect to your soul since we're doing to straight to it and your body isn't covering it, well, I don't think you've ever had an x-ray before since you're a skeleton.", Haley warned.

"I'm willing to take that risk.", Jamie said.

"Very well.", Haley lead him to another room where there was an machine. "I'll check upon you and the soul after this, I'll make sure you won't catch any sickness.", Haley explained.

"Got it.", Jamie nodded and sat down on a chair.

Haley took a deep breath before inserting Jamie's soul into the machine and starting it. It took three minutes for something to happen, Haley looked through the monitor. Fifteen minutes went and Haley finally got the results.

"Well, would you look at that. The soul reflects your personality as well and the other thing is..", Haley paused to process the word the machine was giving him. "Neutral magic?"

"Magic that's neural? Sounds like, it's just only magic and doesn't have any.. well, such as determination or patience.", Jamie guessed.

"Determination is what you possess of, this is the magic that gives and keeps the soul's form.", Haley stated.

"Right.", Jamie sighed a bit and held his head lightly. "If we're done, you can take my soul out of the machine already, I'm starting to feel a bit light-headed."

Haley nodded and turned off the machine, taking Jamie's soul, checking it and also Jamie for any physical changes. "Nothing seems to be wrong, want water?", He asked.

"Yes, please.", Jamie said taking his soul to himself.

Haley assisted Jamie back to his office and gave him his bottle of water.

"You should head home to rest for today, tomorrow we will figure out how to make a soul with the information we've gathered.", Haley said as he sat down.

"Why not today all at once?", Jamie asked as he drank from the bottle.

"You look tired, and you did say you're feeling light-headed? Besides, doing those tests did take a toll of you.. it's also your day off.", Haley explained.

"Well, yes, but those doesn't bother me anymore.", Jamie reasoned.

Haley shook his head. "I'm sending you home, Jamie, no buts, go home. You did great for today, tomorrow we will create a soul, now shoo.", Haley demanded.

Jamie sighed and left the office to downstairs.

"See you tomorrow, Sonja.", Jamie said after putting his lab coat back to it's place and left outside.

"See ya.", She responded.

Jamie transformed into his animal form, his animal form is a red parrot; macaw parrot. He starts flying back to his house.

After he arrives, he's greeted by Boney and the kids.

"Well, heey, how was school?", Jamie asked as he hugged the twins.

"It was great!", The twins exclaimed.

"That's good to hear, what did you do today?", Jamie asked softly as he looked at the two excited beans.

"We did school stuff!", Tiara said.

"And played with Doffy on breaks!", Thiara added.

"Anything interesting?", Jamie questioned. He pet Boney who started licking his face.

"Not really.", The twins said.

"I see.", Jamie picked up her daughters and walked to the kitchen. "Your mother hasn't come home yet?"

"No, not yet.", Thiara said.

"Well, you two have been brave here alone, huh?" Jamie chuckled. "Are you two hungry? I could be the chef for the night."

"Yeah!" The kids exclaimed and threw their hands in the air.

"Alright!" Jamie placed his daughters to the floor and went straight for the fridge.

The kids returned to the living room to play as Jamie started to make them food. It was starting to be late and Jamie was wondering where Flora was. "She seems to have a long shift today or her work is going in overtime. I know she doesn't overwork." Jamie thought.

"The food is ready!" Jamie announced after a while and the kids bursted into the kitchen to eat.

Jamie gave them their plates and one for himself and looked at the clock.. Flora still hasn't come back home yet. He was starting to get a bit worried.

"How do you kids like it?" Jamie asked to distract himself a bit.

"It's good!" Tiara said between the bites.

"You're also a good chef, dad!" Thiara complimented.

"Why thank you, I'm glad you like it." Jamie smiled as he ate.

The kids finished their meal quick and carried their dishes to the dishwasher and thanked for the food.

I'm ending it here lol I don't want it to be too long. This part was a bit longer than the other ones, also I'm sorry I haven't written since June/July whenever I last updated the story, I wasn't feeling like writing for a long time and now that I have school it might gonna get longer and I also feel like making another story.. maybe like one of those X reader fanfictions, but there's no shipping in it? Basically it's about Miharu (my OC) and it's a Pokémon AU kind of thing, but yeah, I'll think about it, babai for now~
