⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Moons have coursed through, meat that wept with shimmering crimson found peace from our scarred past… Yet, I’ve found myself having to overwrought your deeds within the neglected letters I’ve composed with failed clemency, withered once I mapped the bulging scars I’ve hid with alabaster cloth. How ironic, I yearn for your touch upon my sickened forehead, your words to soothe my muffled ears, your eyes to glare through my bitter expressions, despite being the one who lay raw upon the very face you swore to cherish with your very hands. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀You resent the beauty of your creation, so you display it upon a pedestal for your followers to kiss its feet in hopes of forgiveness, while you’ve let me have my liberty outside the walls you built to avoid all the intricate culture of what you deemed the works of the devil. I was the heaven you envisioned. And so I made you kneel in it, screaming. A heaven you’ve created, filled with regrets, once you skinned what was underneath my face as a bargain for my disobedience. And that disobedience? I tried to leave with someone whose veins weren’t filled with your gospels, so you carved your commandments into mine.
