ALOYSIUS AURELIA︙LARK︙CRIMSON WHISPER
Aloysius Aurelia’s name was chosen by his mother, Mirelle, who once told him it meant “famous warrior,” though he never felt like one—more a prisoner than a fighter. The surname Aurelia, derived from Latin for “golden,” was a cruel irony in his eyes; there was nothing golden about the life they lived in the shadows of the Crimson Carnival. To the outside world, he became the Crimson Whisper, a stage name crafted by his father to sell mystery and elegance in the whispers between attendees. Aloysius made it his own over time, letting the name become a mask—silent, deadly, and beautiful. But in his heart, the only name that ever truly belonged to him was Lark, the nickname given by his mother and sister. Soft, secret, and sacred, it reminded him of the person he might have been—someone who sang instead of carrying on his father's twisted legacy. He kept it hidden from his father like a flame in the dark, a fragile piece of himself untouched by the horror.

CISGENDER︙MALE︙HE / HIM
Aloysius has always felt detached from the concept of gender, not out of confusion but because it never seemed to matter to him. Growing up in the circus, where identities blurred beneath costumes, makeup, and shifting roles, his own gender felt more like a technicality than something essential. He is a cisgender man, but his connection to masculinity is distant—neither embraced nor rejected. Some who watch him perform or speak to him briefly often mistake him as genderless, a ghost in velvet and bells, and he doesn’t mind. He still considers himself a man, and does so with quiet contentment, but never saw his gender as something central to who he is. It was just another mask, another shadow cast under the lights of the Crimson Carnival.

TWENTY︙OCTOBER 21ST︙
Aloysius Aurelia is physically twenty years old, though his eyes carry the weight of someone far older. Mentally, he drifts between the sharp, focused detachment of someone forged by trauma and the stunted vulnerability of a child who never truly got to grow up. His emotional world is fragmented—deep, but carefully guarded. He was born on October 21st in the back of a rickety caravan somewhere on the mist-covered outskirts of a forgotten village in eastern , under the eerie flicker of carnival lights. That makes him a libra, a sign often associated with balance and beauty—traits that manifest in him as a haunting poise, a performer’s grace masking the chaos beneath.

EUROPEAN︙FRENCH
Aloysius Aurelia is of mixed European descent, with French and Italian heritage tracing back through his mother Mirelle’s lineage and his father Garrik’s bloodline. He was born in and holds French nationality, though the concept of “home” has always been abstract to him—more a rotating stage beneath canvas skies than any fixed place. Ethnicity and race were never discussed within the carnival, where personal histories were buried beneath performance and illusion. As a result, Aloysius grew up disconnected from cultural identity, shaped instead by isolation and survival. He is multilingual, speaking English, French, Italian, and Latin—languages he picked up through whispered lullabies, shouted commands, and the coded tongues of the performers around him. Each language feels like a mask he wears, fluid and adaptable, just like the life he was born into.

PREFORMER︙RING MASTER︙TRAVELER
By day, Aloysius Aurelia performs as a master knife thrower and jester for the Crimson Carnival’s public shows. His act is a blend of deadly precision and theatrical grace—blades flying inches from painted targets as he dances and contorts with eerie, silent elegance. He rarely speaks during performances, letting the rhythm of his movements and the shimmer of steel tell the story. While other performers crave applause, Aloysius moves like he’s fulfilling a ritual, detached yet mesmerizing. Between shows, he assists with rigging stages, mending props, and caring for the carnival’s aging animals—tasks done in silence, with the same mechanical efficiency. To the public, he’s a spectacle of talent and mystery, never breaking character, never revealing the man behind the mask.

ECCENTRIC︙FLIRTATIOUS ︙GUARDED
Aloysius Aurelia is a labyrinth of contradictions—stoic yet theatrical, reserved yet unmistakably eccentric. His personality shifts like stage lighting: in private, he’s introspective and emotionally guarded, haunted by loss and memory; in public, he’s unpredictable, sharp-witted, and flirtatious, using charm as both a shield and a weapon. He often speaks in riddles or poetic turns of phrase, and delights in making others slightly uncomfortable with his intensity or odd humor. Aloysius flirts freely, not always out of desire but as a game, a dance, a test of boundaries—though few ever get close enough to know where the performance ends. He finds solace in the surreal, the grotesque, and the beautiful, and clings to ritual and symbolism to create a sense of control in the chaos. Despite his cynicism, he is capable of deep loyalty and affection, though those emotions are buried under layers of showmanship, sarcasm, and silent grief.

PRECISION + FOCUS ︙EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE ︙ADAPTABILITY
Aloysius Aurelia possesses a rare blend of precision, emotional intelligence, and adaptability that makes him both a captivating performer and a dangerous opponent. His greatest strength lies in his focus—an unshakable calm under pressure that allows him to execute deadly feats of accuracy with knives and read people’s intentions with unsettling clarity. Years of surviving in the violent underbelly of the circus have honed his instincts; he notices what others miss, listens more than he speaks, and rarely acts without intention. His eccentricity, often seen as a quirk, is also a strength—it disarms others, masks his true thoughts, and grants him the freedom to move through social situations like a shapeshifter. Though he rarely shows it, his loyalty runs deep, and when he chooses to protect someone, he does so with fierce, unwavering commitment.

SELF DESTRUCTION ︙FEAR OF VULNERABILITY ︙EMOTIONAL REPRESSION
Aloysius Aurelia’s weaknesses are deeply rooted in his trauma and isolation. Though outwardly composed, he struggles with emotional repression, burying his pain so deeply that it often festers into apathy or silent rage. His guarded nature makes genuine connection difficult; he pushes others away before they can get too close, fearing vulnerability as a threat rather than a necessity. His tendency to detach from reality—slipping into theatrical personas or cryptic games—can make him seem erratic or untrustworthy, even when his intentions are good. He’s also prone to self-destruction, taking dangerous risks with little regard for his own well-being, as if daring the world to end him first. Beneath his charm and control lies a man who’s never learned how to process grief, only how to perform around it.

EXPERT KNIFE THROWING︙ILLUSION + PROP CRAFTING︙ACROBATICS + CONTORTION
Within the Crimson Carnival, Aloysius Aurelia is renowned for his mastery of knife throwing—an art he performs with an eerie, almost supernatural grace. His act is both silent and mesmerizing, blending deadly precision with the elegance of a dancer, captivating audiences with every flick of his wrist. But his talents extend beyond the main stage. Behind the scenes, he is an expert in stage rigging, prop design, and illusion work, often crafting the mechanisms that create the carnival’s more elaborate, disturbing effects. He’s also a skilled contortionist and acrobat, trained from childhood, allowing him to move through tight spaces and appear where least expected—useful both in performance and in darker, hidden parts of the circus. Aloysius is as much a technician of terror as he is a performer of it, knowing how to control what the audience sees—and more importantly, what they don’t.

C-PTSD︙OSDD-AD
Aloysius Aurelia’s mental health is a fragile mosaic of trauma, repression, and survival instinct. Years of abuse, loss, and forced violence have left him with symptoms resembling complex PTSD—nightmares, emotional numbness, hypervigilance, and periods of dissociation where he slips into performance personas to escape his reality. He often masks his internal chaos with charm, eccentricity, or silence, but beneath it lies a deep, unprocessed grief and a gnawing sense of guilt, particularly over Seraphine’s death. He rarely acknowledges his pain directly, instead channeling it into ritualistic routines and morbid humor. While he isn’t overtly self-pitying, his self-destructive tendencies and emotional isolation suggest a quiet despair he refuses to name. Aloysius lives in a state of constant internal contradiction—desperate for meaning and connection, yet terrified of letting anyone see the broken parts of him.

NO CLUE︙HOW IS HE STILL STANDING
Aloysius Aurelia’s physical health is a paradox of strength and strain. Years of acrobatics, knife training, and performance have left him with a lean, resilient body honed by routine and repetition. He possesses exceptional coordination, flexibility, and endurance, all necessary for his dangerous acts. However, his physical resilience comes at a cost. He lives with chronic pain from old injuries—bruised ribs, dislocated ts, and lingering nerve damage—that he treats with quiet tolerance or self-istered remedies. Sleep is irregular and often disturbed by nightmares, leaving him fatigued but functional. He pushes his body relentlessly, often ignoring its limits, as if punishing it for surviving what others did not. Despite the wear, Aloysius remains agile and quick, a physical testament to the discipline—and denial—that governs his every move.

BIROMANTIC
Aloysius Aurelia is romantically fluid but emotionally cautious, often drawn to others through intense fascination rather than traditional romantic ideals. While he is capable of deep romantic feelings, he rarely allows them to surface fully, keeping potential connections at a safe, performative distance. He finds beauty in both men and women, and is naturally flirtatious, but his romantic orientation leans more toward emotional intensity than gender preference. Relationships, for him, are complex performances of trust, vulnerability, and danger—something he both craves and fears. He has never labeled his romantic inclinations, shaped by a life in the carnival where norms were illusions and intimacy was often tangled with survival. Love, to Aloysius, is a haunting melody—something he follows but never quite touches.

BISEXUAL
Aloysius Aurelia is bisexual, though he has never labeled or announced it—his attraction to both men and women has always felt natural and unquestioned, shaped by the fluid, boundary-blurring world of the circus. He leans subtly toward men in of desire, drawn to intensity, mystery, and emotional depth, but he’s experienced attraction across the spectrum without hesitation or conflict. In his eyes, sexuality is as performative and instinctual as the stage—part of life, not something to be dissected or declared. He treats it with the same quiet irreverence he brings to most personal matters: private, unashamed, and effortlessly woven into who he is.

人物历史 ⭑ H1ST0RY
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
CHILDHOOD IN CHAINS.
Aloysius was born beneath the velvet-draped big top tent of the Crimson Carnival, a roaring, roaming spectacle of color, fire, and deceit. The circus moved from town to town under the guise of innocent marvels, but under its silk-lined tents and blinding lights festered a legacy of cruelty. Aloysius and his twin sister, Seraphine, were born to the star contortionist, a soft-voiced woman named Mirelle, and the ringmaster, a brutal man named Garrik Aurelia. Garrik was more beast than man—controlling, paranoid, and violent. From their earliest memory, Aloysius and Seraphine were dressed in bells and velvet, painted with grotesque smiles, and forced to dance and tumble for jeering crowds.
Their mother, Mirelle, had a strange contradiction in personality—both tender and distant. She would hold them in secret, sing songs in an ancient tongue, and weep when no one watched. Then, on their twelfth birthday, she vanished.
The story Garrik fed them was thin: that she had run away. But Aloysius always knew something was wrong. The night she disappeared, he ed waking to the sound of muffled screaming and the scent of iron in the air. He told Seraphine, but she begged him never to speak of it again. They lived in fear and silence.
THE CRIMSON CURTAIN FALLS.
Despite the fear, the twins remained each other's solace. Seraphine was calm, clever and cautious. Aloysius was eccentric, impulsive and fiercely protective. At 18, their childhood ended for the second time when they were invited—or rather forced—into the true inner sanctum of the Crimson Carnival: *The Midnight Menagerie*.
Each night after the public left, the carnival transformed into a clandestine theatre of horrors. Wealthy patrons paid obscene amounts to witness unspeakable acts: human hunting games, death duels, tortures disguised as illusions. Garrik was its architect, and now he demanded his children become its stars.
Aloysius, already adept at knife throwing from one of their many acts, became a crowd favorite. Under the guise of performance art, he killed criminals, vagabonds, and sometimes innocents—all “acquired” for the show. He buried his guilt in routine, in the rhythm of the blades spinning through the air.
Seraphine, however, couldn’t stomach it. Forced into acts of mental cruelty—psychological torture crafted to entertain—she began to unravel. She left cryptic drawings in their wagon, whispered about “the blood that won't wash off.” Then, one rainy night, she took her life and arranged her body in the center of the main ring, one last spectacle under the velvet-draped big top tent that raised her. On the back of her mirror, in her lipstick, she wrote: *“This isn't human.”*
THE SHATTERING.
Garrik did not grieve. He told Aloysius, without sorrow or ceremony, that Mirelle had done the same years ago. She had taken her life after giving birth, overcome by the horror of realizing she had brought children into this monstrous lineage. Garrik had found her and buried her beneath the grounds of the carnival, wrapped in the flags of her final performance.
Something broke in Aloysius then—not like glass, but like bone: slow, sickening, permanent.
The next night, the Midnight Menagerie performed for a full house. Garrik stepped into the ring to deliver his booming prologue. Aloysius stepped up with him, knives glinting under the torchlight. The crowd watched, mistaking the tension for theater.
Without a word, Aloysius drove a knife through Garrik’s throat, then one through each eye. The audience applauded, thinking it all part of the act, even as the blood soaked the sawdust and his father’s body fell twitching to the floor.
THE HALLOW CLOWN.
Aloysius did not run. The carnival was all he knew, all he hated, all he loved. He took over as ringmaster, painted his smile anew, and continued the cycle. But now the knives sang a different tune.
To the world, the Crimson Carnival is still a place of marvel. But those who know what to ask for, and what price to pay, are granted tickets to the Midnight Menagerie.
Aloysius, a man with a painted grin and hollow eyes, performs each night. A killer. A victim. A relic of a nightmare that keeps itself alive through applause.
He often talks to Seraphine in the mirror before each show. He knows she doesn’t speak back—but he needs to believe that someone, somewhere, is watching him... and not clapping.
