A Fairy's Bane: The corruption

The corruption is considered a disease, a curse, or a sin by most enlightened elders and priests in Iskavir. However, this thing has been forgotten by the later generations and goes unnoticed. The markings of this disease are actually invisible to those who are not in tune with their powers, soul, truth, and the universe. The only exceptions are humans who cannot see it and demons, angels, and the faes who can see it perfectly

The corruption is pitch black colors, and at the borders of the infected area, there is a flower-like pattern. There's also a black vein pattern. Its reach usually stays within the flower border, but in serve cases, the black veins appear everywhere on the body. The flower-like design isn't necessarily a border and can appear on a few spots outside the infected areas

Sometimes in, the infected victims has a starry motif across the body's infected area that appears at a random interval. This starry pattern only appears on those who've managed to survive it...

Now, one may wonder how one gets this supposed disease? What most don't know is this is a divine punishment in Iskavir... A death sentence. Rare are the beings that survive. Those who try to cheat the circle of life and death or those who want to play gods get afflicted by it. It is a naturally occurring phenomenon.

A gorgeous flower

This Flower goes by many names: Fairy's Lament, Fairy teardrop, Titania's lily, Titania's teardrop. Its proper name is Lilium Lacrima. It was named after the fact that after some time, after blooming, the flower secrets a liquid that looks similar to teardrops. The liquid emits a slight glow and has powder similar to starlights.

The flower is sought after by many for its extraordinary healing properties. The bloom can cure almost any ailment. It's also wanted for its alchemical properties or occultist usage. Due to it's rarity many believe the flower's existence to be a myth or fairy tale (pun intended)

Let's get onto the flower's tears' properties and its starlight dust... These are used to cure corruption or any curses that befalls a person. It can also be used to give soil fertility or help dead soil/land to be reanimated into gorgeous meadows.

It seems the flower cannot be reproduced in a laboratory or fields. It cannot be cultivated or recreated.

It seemingly blooms once in a blue moon... Literally as the expression originates from this. The conditions have to be quite specific. A light drizzle, a full blue moon, and the holy ground of Iskavir are the components for blooms to appear... Of course, this is only a superstition created by rural folk... Although some of these beliefs are grounded (pun intended)

The flower only grows on specific plants that need to be produced by a descendant of the fae queen Titania as they spill their blood on said plants. The blooms will appear on said plants every full blue moon for 500 years
