Animotus

A gentle, shapeshifting alien species whose emotions are always displayed. Usually the aliens are lighter colors such as light purple, light blue, pink...

There are only two forms of the Animotus, Male and female. It is easily shown on their foreheads.

The upside-down cross looking one symbolizes a woman, while other symbolizes a man. Sometimes, the symbols look different than these generic shapes, but the shape will have characteristics of one or the other.

Their symbols often light up one of four colors: blue, yellow, purple, or red.

Blue often shows contempt or comfortable, sometimes even happy.

Yellow shows moderate stress or discomfort, sometimes disgust.

Purple shows deep sadness or fear.

Red is anger and wrath, and high stress or injury.

Males are usually colder colors: blues, greens, purples. Females are usually warmer colors: yellows, reds, and oranges. They dont have to be just these colors, but it is rare to see a blue female Animotus.

Animotus aliens can shapeshift into anything they have seen, but they can never remove their symbol from their forehead. Of course, makeup could, but that's a weird human thing.

One thing they don't know is that human saliva is extremely toxic to them and corrodes their skin. Human tears irritate their skin. Sugar makes them drunk like humans, and actual alcohol makes them turn back into their original form.

They hail from a planet called "Rimodeom", a planet similar to Earth, except the water is beautiful lime green, lands covered in blue vegetation, and sky a baby blue. Its sun burns a bright scarlet and is nearing its end. The Animotus search for a new home as they know of the great horrors of exploding stars. Their home will get swallowed or scorched.

However, due to their primitiveness, the best they can do is escape to nearby planets or galaxes... except there are hardly any suitable planets near. The nearest galaxy is a few hundred lightyears away. They hope that a genius comes and saves them from their fate.

However, one young Animotus (pictured first) is working on a solution. A gun that could spit out green portals was his dream. However, he still has not mastered it and hopes for a miracle.
