Nineteen years ago we lost an influential and enigmatic hip-hop producer from Detroit, J Dilla! I finished the book not too long ago and shapes up while I listened to the record again. This instrumental hip-hop collage is one hell of a masterpiece as Dilla was diagnosed with a blood disorder, leaving him in a dark place. Dilla died three days after he released Donuts on Stones Throw, making another classic in their catalogue and a Magnus Opum for J Dilla.
