Hello hello!

This is a quick one as I’m a bit busy but I thought this concept was a really interesting one.

I chose to create regional variants for the Sewaddle line for this event. I think it’s a very cute line and there’s a lot to be expanded upon with a Pokémon who’s directly tied to clothmaking.

I tied this line to the concept of holly and winter coats.

Sewaddle

Ultimately Sewaddle stayed the same in of behavior. It still looks to Leavanny to create its clothing, though with an added layer of warmth for colder climates.

Swadloon

Upon evolving, Swadloon incorporate the cotton under their coats. This makes movement a bit more difficult, alongside the need to conserve energy, so they’re relatively stationary compared to normal Swadloon, and they bundle up tighter. They often only move to eat and to huddle with other Swadloon in nests of sorts.

They’re often more standoffish to trainers and don’t like to be bothered, relative to normal Swadloon, though some can be befriended or bribed with food.

Leavanny

Leavanny are very active in the winters, collecting holly leaves not only for food but to weave clothes for Sewaddle, just as normal Leavanny do.

These Leavanny hold a symbiotic relationship with Whimsicott, trading food for their cotton, which they incorporate into Sewaddle’s clothing as well as their own.

The cotton around their necks is the same which they’d gotten when they were Sewaddle, but any and all other tufts of cotton have been implemented by them. Aside from the obvious purpose of warmth, placements in tufts of cotton can also be cosmetic, given that holly leaves are generally tougher and a bit more difficult to work with.

And that’s about it! I typically really enjoy it when Pokémon interact with one another in the dex entries, so that gave me a bit of inspiration for this. I had a lot of fun playing around with colors and shapes and I’d probably workshop these a little more if I had the time.
