Blaze's Ice-Breaker Entry

Heyo, what's up guys its Blaze here about to finally make a post after so long. Alright so since I haven't posted in days I thought it would be a good Idea to an event so enjoy!

Introduction

Let me reintroduce myself. Hiya, my name is Blaze. I'm a 15 year old boy who's loved Pokemon ever since he was 8. That means I've loved Pokemon for a straight 7 years now. I first got into Pokemon watching the anime and boy was I hooked, I already loved animals a lot so when 8-year-old me found a show about animals with powers you already know he started acting out his own journey. When I look back on it, its actually pretty cringey because I legit use to act out my own battles, catching pokemon and fighting my nonexistent rival.

Skip about 2 years later to when I got my first hand-held, the 3ds and with it came 2 games, New Super Mario Bros. 2 and Pokemon Black 2. You should pretty much know how it went from there. Got into the game, played it and beat it, ended up buying more Pokemon games, and thats basically how I my Pokemon journey began. Also, if I were to be any trainer class it would a basic Pokemon trainer.

Favorite Pokemon

Gen2 may not get a lot of love but there's one thing I can't forget about that Johto created, and thats this little monkey. My love for Aipom started around the time I first started watching the anime. I grew up watching the Indigo League series on Demand. I would somtimes randomy start watching Battle Frontier while I was at it, I can honestly thank this series for introducing me to Aipom. It was when Ash first caught his Aipom that got me liking it so much and after he did catch her the funny moments began.

I loved all Ash's pokemon because they had character but Aipom was the one who took the cake with her mixture of being a prankster, playfulness, and battling skills. Little me loved it whenever she took Ash's hat because I didn't see Ash's hair much anyway. Skip to the end of Battle Frontier, I knew what happened every time Ash went to a new region so I was sad to see Aipom go but what do ya know, she came along! In Sinnoh Aipom was better and I loved it. After a few more episodes I saw Ash and Dawn trade which may or may not have made little me get in his feelings.

I soon got use to Aipom being in contests because there was still battling in them so I was satisfied. Then, Aipom learned double hit and that's when it all went to crap. Look, I don't hate Ambipom and I don't hate that Aipom evolved I actually loved Ambipom, its why Ambipom left that made me hate Ambipom as a pokemon. Pingpong...She left for pingpong. I think I've said enough. Moving on.

Favorite Pokemon Type

I like to see stuff burn...too soon? Ok. All jokes aside though I really do love fire types. In almost every single pokemon game I've played except X, Sun, and Ultra Sun, I would always pick the fire starter and even in those games I had a good fire type on my team. The thing with fire types is, there are so many design choices for them. Pick an animal, slap fire on it, and you've got a new pokemon! Some designs that utilize fire really well in my opinion are Incineroar, Infernape, Chandelure, and Darmanitan.

Another one of the reasons I love fire so much is the fact that it just straight up looks cool and reminds me of the nine tails cloak from Naruto. I feel like fire types are on the more popular side of pokemon. A lot of people besides me like fire types too and not just because of the designs, but because of the moves they learn. Fire types learn some of the strongest moves in the game, some of those being Fire Blast, Inferno, Heat Wave, and Blast Burn. #TeamScorbunny

Favorite Region

If it wasn't already obvious enough, I love Hoenn and everything about it. Hoenn is a region that I think everyone loved besides the whole "Too much water" thing. The starters were also, in my opinion, the best in the series. Torchic, Treecko, and Mudkip are one of the most memorized starter trios because of how popular they are, Mudkip for memes, Treecko because the anime, and Torchic because its a fire type. Can we talk about the characters? Lets talk about the characters, I love both Wally and May. Wally started out as a shy little kid and in the end became a real rival. May..well you know ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) all jokes aside, May's one of my favorite rivals. She's the only friendly rival I don't hate beacuse unlike "those two" she put up a challenge.

Favorite Main Series Game

That right there is ORAS. Now lets talk about ORAS. Can we talk about ORAS please? I've been dying to talk to you about ORAS all day. I loved playing emerald as a kid, its the reason Hoenn is my favorite region. When I saw that they were making 3ds remakes of Ruby and Sapphire I flipped out because I could finally see how Hoenn looked in 3D. To be honest I knew it was coming because the mystery gift torchic but I was excited nonetheless. When the games did come out you know I was on that sh*t! Now, let's talk about my experience with the game itself.

To put this short, I loved it. I Liked how the game started with the old gba design to give it a nostalgic feel. I may or may not have fanboyed to seeing May for the first time. Ok enough about May, she's literally the gif! Let me just say the music in these games are amazing, some of my favorites being the rival battle theme and Wally's battle theme. The final battle with Steven was fun it felt like a true battle! My mega Blaziken versus his mega Metagross, heck yeah...even though I wrecked him!

Favorite Spin-Off Game

This one's gonna be kinda short. My first mystery dungeon was Blue Rescue Team and I never beat it because little me thought it was too hard to beat Zapdos. After that I never played another mystery dungeon game, that was until Gates to Infinity came and since I hadn't played a mystery dungeon game in so long time I thought, "Meh, why not?" Playing it was fun and I loved the story. My favorite characters were Emolga and Dunsparce. This game, I also never beat but I don't the reason for this one. You should know what happened next, saw Super Mystery Dungeon and bought that!

Super Mystery Dungeon was the only mystery dungeon game that I fully beat..but didn't beat the post game. Yeah, I'm pathetic. The end of the game though made me cry man, it was so sad seeing my partner leave! My favorite character this game was definitely Buizel, he was funny yet serious.

Favorite Pokemon Character

I thought Gladion was gonna be just another emo boi but I was wrong, I love this dude! He pretty much replaced Hau as my rival. Lets talk about backstory, one of the things I love about him so much is his backstory, it kinda reminds of me Silver's backstory. Gladion's backstory shows why is personality is like it is. He's gone through so much and in the end he's happy but still wants to get stronger. I'de also like to mention that Gladion and Lillie are the best siblings and I think they're adorble. I'm honestly sad that he left for Kanto but he did come back to battle me so I'm fine. A final statement I would like to make about Gladion is his battle theme, good lord his battle theme kicks ass and I love it and the Smash Bros Ultimate remix is amazing and-! Sorry, I'm done now.

Least Favorite Pokemon Character

I don't think words can describe how much I hate Trace but I'm gonna use em anyway! When I heard that we were getting another Kanto remake, I was excited to finally have Blue back, I missed the rivals that made you want to beat them. Trace doesn't give me that! He makes want to beat him because he's so nice! GameFreak legit said in the trailer that Trace was a "friendly rival" Now, at least Hau had a motive and that was to beat Hala but this kid legit just wants to catch up to you and I hate it! He provides no challenge at all! Hau provided challenge near the end! Trace is the definition of why I hate friendly rivals!

On top of all this, you expect me to believe this guy became champion!? No! I wrecked his crap and I'm the champion now! In conclusion, Trace should have never became a character, he should never be a rival, and I wanna throw him into the mouth of that real life Charizard from Detective Pikachu!

I don't own that much pokemerch, I literally only collect pokemon cards, so here's a box of pokemon cards and some other stuff.

Confession Time

*Intense breathing*....I don't like amourshipping. Put your pitchforks and torches down and let me explain! Now, I don't hate serena I really don't but she's overrated, they even gave her an overrated pokemon that being sylveon. Ok, the reason I don't like ship is because I feel like it was so forced. Mind you, this is the first girl who Ash travels with that ACTUALLY has a crush on him, what I mean by the force part is that in almost every episode where there's not a serious situation there's at least one reference to her having a crush on him.

Let's see how they could have fixed this. They could have did a My Hero Academia thing where Serena has a crush on ash but she puts it aside to conquer her own goals. Yes, she does conquer her goal but she still ends up kissing Ash in the end which was literally for fan service! All in all Serena isn't a bad character at all its how she's depicted in the anime. We can all freely say that her game and manga counterparts are better than her in character.

Area I Wanna See in a Pokemon Game

Its cliche, I know but I legit want to see Egypt in a pokemon game, I think it would be cool to see pyramids in a game. The game would obviously take place in a hot climate and your character would be wearing clothes that would fit that climate. Let's get into the story, you're a boy/girl who's lived the region of [Insert creative name] for years and its finally your time to become a pokemon trainer! The game would obviously start with you in your house then hearing a call from your mom. You would then walk outside to see your mom talking to the professor of this game, Prof. Maple(no need to applaud me on the name) He's known you ever since you were a baby. You would be asked if you want to become a pokemon trainer and you obviously select "yes"

Right off the bat, Prof. Maple sends out 3 pokemon being the starters. A fire snake, a water bug, and a grass antelope. You choose your starter and soon a boy comes out of nowhere and picks the starter that has the advantage over yours. This guy is revealed to be your rival and the professor's son. You've know him ever since the age of 5 and he's always bullied you even to this day. He says some smart ass comment then challenges you to battle, it doesn't matter if you win or lose but if you do lose he says, "Ha! I always knew you were a loser." And if you win he says, "Whatever you got lucky."

The true adventure then begins. Gyms are in this game are pyramids. For each gym you have to solve a puzzle or find a certain item to battle the gym leader. The evil team of this game is, Team Pharaoh and their goal is to simply create a world where they are the only rulers and all who oppose them will be punished. But this is a democracy so your trainer ain't having that. That's pretty much all I can think of right now!

Skills Gained By Pokemon

I see pokemon, I play. Pokemon introduced me to Smash Bros and I can really thank it for that. My first Smash Bros game was Smash 4 for the 3ds where my main was Lucario because again, I see pokemon, I play. The game was really fun to me because it was a fighting game with so many characters, I soon became a really good player at Smash Bros and getting into it more. I now love playing SBU and main Roy. Thanks pokemon, for introducing me to Smash Bros.

Friends Gained Through Pokemon

Being a pokemon lover his hard, especially when you're the only in your school that knows it exists but there are still those people that also love pokemon. Pokemon's actually helped me make many friends not just on this amino but in real life. I used to have 2 friends back in 5th grade. All 3 of us loved pokemon and brought our pokemon cards to school to show each other, I'm not naming anyone but one was a girl and the other was a boy.

Soon in 6th grade I met another friend who's favorite pokemon was growlithe and I still know him to this day! Then came 7th grade, I met 3 friends who loved pokemon as much as I did. One I met because I saw her drawing and she was super good at it, the second I saw looking up pictures of pokemon on a computer. We became friends right away and he's really funny. The third I met at lunch. He was new and was sitting alone. I decided to go sit with him and saw that he had pokemon cards. To make a long story short, we became friends over pokemon cards.
