I watched the world end

a million times over.

My fate being toyed with

in the capable hands of insanity.

I watched you fall

over and over again.

The icy grief renewed each

and every time your skull shattered.

I watched myself die

on a loop inside my head.

My tears melting into the flames

that coated my ivory body.

I watched a woman and her

child afraid and sickly under a

tattered blanket of naivety,

believing there was still a chance.

I watched and I watched.

Over and over and over.

For what else was I to do?
