they’ve gone too far

i don’t know what’s happening,

anger consumes me

blinded by rage

all i can see is red

a wretched color

not quite vibrant,

a hue like merlot

suspended in a glass

maybe there’s a certain calm

to the carmine,

my body is destructive like a hurricane

but my brain is peaceful

i don’t feel anything

in the eye of the crimson typhoon
