He's the Sun, you might be the Earth, Dad the Moon.
Me? I could just be a lonely star.
Always revolving around him,
our little universe of a house.
Just like the ferris wheel of that amusement park we went to, was it my tenth birthday, or eleventh?
It's okay, I know you wouldn't know.
It's alright, I don't have it against you.
She, the one who rode that ride alone
might've had a grudge.
But I'm not her, no?
She who was scared, alone, in the confines of her cart, a lump in her throat, not fading like the sweet taste of cotton candy on her tongue–it tastes bitter now.
She who had trails of tears down her eyes, her heart chattering entrapped, as the sky boomed in shades.
I'm sure you don't that.
But your Sun would relish, I think.
How you both kissed him as the colours took over the sky.
Bleeding away from me.
It's okay though, if you ever read these verses,
the star that hung away in the universe of our house.
The one you forgot long before.
