Azure paints this town

So deep, it must've tainted the life that exists

In shades of sea, that reflect

With each glance that you bestow

An ocean so tragically contained

In blue irises that have now claimed my soul

I've yet to be engulfed within those waves

Though they hold a promise so true

My fate slipping through my fingers

Like sand, clinging onto skin

Dreaming of woven threads of destiny

Stitching my heart with yours

Perhaps I'm bewitched

Being tempted to the edge prior to my fall

But why does the ocean in your eyes drown

Each doubt that plagues my consciousness

And your lips, finally on my skin

Melt the fears that have seeped within these bones

Heavens bleed the earth petrichor

Allowing ocean to claim the sky this time forth

I breathed in an ocean,

To be painted in azure.
