Hey y’all!

With July now coming to an end, it’s officially time for a new month with brand new weekend challenges! So how do we go about hosting such a thing?

For starters:

What is a Weekend Challenge?

These challenges are member hosted and last throughout a specific weekend. Each one is unique to its host, and can be based off of pictures, words, phrases, quotes... etc. At the end of the weekend, the host chooses the winners and presents them to us all in a post! Anyone is allowed to host a weekend challenge, so we love to see new people participate!

How do I host a Weekend Challenge?

All you need to do is choose an idea for your challenge and write it down as a comment on this post! Your comment should include your idea for the challenge and the date you would like to host the challenge. After that is done, your fellow PA will vote which challenges they would like to see. The top most voted challenges will be chosen for their preferred date, and everything else will be set up!

Please understand though that as the host you will be responsible for creating the necessary posts, listing the appropriate rules, judging the entries, posting the results, and listing and providing the appropriate prizes.

The rules

• First and foremost, all challenges must follow our [guidelines]

• Your challenge must be posted by the start date that you have chosen

• You are responsible as the host to staff regarding certain prizes like features and broadcasts.

• Regardless of how popular the idea is, no repeat challenge ideas will be chosen.

• can only host a challenge every 3 months. This means those who hosted one in June or July are not eligible to host a challenge this round.

With all that being said, here are the available dates to host your challenge. Please choose which one of the four options below best suits your availability, and add it to your comment:

Hello! I know there have been a lot of music related challenges going around, so I fully understand if this one is still similar, but I hope this twist will make it interesting ^^

Each person who comments on the post will be randomly assigned a short playlist with three to four songs that are quite different from each other but still follow a certain theme (ex. 4 seasons). The poet’s job will be to figure out how to connect the songs with their own interpretation into their poem, despite their differences

Any date except for the first weekend of August would work for me!!

participants will be given a random made-up character. they might be given different descriptors of the character (name, age, personality, gender, life experiences, trauma, etc.) and the world they live in (can be fantasy or real life).

their goal will be to write a poem AS their assigned character. it can be a normal poem, a letter they write to someone, a song, or whatever the participant can creatively come up with!

august 6-8 is best, but i'm fine with any date.

hello! i'd like to share my idea ^^ do let me know if this has been done before.

the challenge would be to make a poem out of a baroque masterpiece, be it a painting or a sculpture. the writer is allowed to use their own interpretation of the artwork or they can research on it for inspirations. it's entirely up to them.

and i'd like to take up the august 13-15 slot if ever!!!
