13. The Greatest Weapon

Love, for me,

Is the greatest weapon of all time.

Love can kill the strongest of men,

And love can break the sturdiest of walls.

Love can poison the purest of hearts

And weaken the most ionate of souls.

Love can tame the meanest devil

And freeze the hell it calls home.

Love can break the kindest angel

And in heaven, it can wreak havoc.

From love, a hero can be born

Wrapped in its warm embrace,

A heart of gold ed for centuries

Because it took on the darkest of days.

Love births a hero's nemesis, too,

Covered in icy tendrils and dirt,

A tainted heart so black it devours sunshine

And brings terror to every creature on earth.

Love can bend and break the mind

Of the smartest person alive,

Or may even nurture the will of an idiot

To the point where he's got the brightest mind.

Humanity, all hope lost, can be revived

By the power of this thing, love,

But no matter how much sewing or gluing we do

Love can tear humanity apart.

Love is life

And love is death,

Love is such a scary and beautiful thing, yes?

Only the bravest

And only the strongest

Can ever go on this monstrous quest.

Love is the greatest weapon of all,

Anything, it can achieve.

Make fiction into reality, or shatter all vows,

Heck, it may even make pigs fly, who knows.

Now, knowing all these

Can you face love, my dear?

If you do, it means you're strong.
