hello! So I got a photo of this gorgeous White-backed vulture at the zoo yesterday. I just edited this picture, and I think it looks pretty good! But what do you guys think? Also, I have an idea. For every post and for every animal, I will make a short paragraph about each animal. Does that sound good to you guys? That way, I can post my photo and educate some of you guys! So enjoy the White-backed vulture ^^

These vultures are fairly common in Africa, feeding on carcasses from wildebeest, zebras, and basically any dead animal they can find. These birds travel in flocks, where they breed in trees and lay 1 single egg. White-backed vultures typically choose a large/tall tree to lay their egg, but because of humans stealing some of these large trees, these vultures are having a harder time trying to find a good place to nest. Did you know that these vultures can only eat animals with soft tissue? Their beaks are not capable of tearing up an animal unless they have soft tissue. These animals can include large grazing animals, ostriches, warthogs, zebras, gazelles, and livestock. The White-backed vulture numbers have also noticeably decreased, and the status for these animals are Least Concern to Near Threatened. Hopefully these beautiful animal’s status will never be endangered. :heart:
