It is INSANELY hot in the room that the rats are in, so I wanted to let them pea fish so they wouldn’t have a heat stroke :,)

awww cuties!! Just wondering, what age would they start pea fishing at? I don't know what age my little one is, she has to be at least a month old. I tried it with her and she had no interest in it but it's also extremely hot in my room
Hm I’m not really sure! This is my first time that I’ve had baby rats and watched them grow, but my older adult rats in the past were never interested in pea fishing. If you want an alternative to keep them cool, I recommend getting a wet paper towel and putting it in the freezer, and then laying it on your rats when they’re sleeping or laying down :> there are lots of other methods to keep rats cool in the heat too!
