I generally prefer top-eared rats but I think that's just because I've never owned dumbo rats but either way I don't see the point of only wanting a rats with a specific ear type, I mean it's fine if you just consistently always get the same ear type but ear types don't really matter to me, it's not like they have different qualities apart from looks. Either way they're still rats and they're not going to act any differently then how they would if they had a different ear type than they do at the moment, the ears are just there for the rats to hear things and top-eared or dumbo they're both adorable!!
