Day 9 #cbchallenge

First comeback stage!

We are going to perform for the first time on stage together! Let's find out how it went.

{Did we change choreo between the MV and stage performance?}

No, not really. All the choreography stayed pretty much the same. The only thing that changed was the level of power we put into one move in the choreography, as it didn't look right the way it was.

{Are nervous was I?}

Yes. Absolutely. Even though I've done many school productions and productions with an amateur theatre group before being with Oneus this is even more nerve wracking. It's a public performance for thousands, maybe even millions, to watch and criticise. I'm scared how the fans will react and perceive me live and how the media will cover me. Not being the slightest built girl makes me fear that the South Korean fans and media will not perceive me well. Plus with it being my first live performance I'm worried about the usual things like voice cracks and mes.

{How well did the performance go?}

It went as well as I could have hoped. I did feel like I was more tired than I should have been towards the end of the performances, and especially after, but I worked through the tiredness and pain within me to finish the dances and thank the audience well. For the next stages I will need to rest and continue building my stamina up throughout the comeback.

I also messed up a few times in the first recording of 'Hydra' and in the two recordings of 'Sporadic'. I kept apologising to the fans and to the guys. They just laughed it off though and we all had a bit of fun, the stating they didn't like those takes anyway. On the second recording of 'Hydra' and the third recording, the last one we would get, of 'Sporadic' we all gave it 100% and got it right. We were happy with the takes and thanked the audience, then went back stage.

{How did the audience react?}

The audience there for the performance was understanding and welcoming. They cheered for me and the genuinely seemed to enjoy the performance. They laughed when we were joking around in between takes. They especially cheered me up after I messed up majorly in the second take.

Obviously I had mixed reviews online but to me that didn't matter as my first experience with the fans made me realise that there are fans of me... Or at least people that accept me for me in the group and respect the group as a whole.

That's how the first day of the live stage performances went.

That's it for today. Final day tomorrow. I really enjoyed doing this challenge and mostly have enjoyed reading others fabulous posts. It's been a great way to let my creativity out. Anyway that's it for today. See you in the next post.
