The champions retain thanks to Eddie & Chavo Guerrero costing The Hardy Boyz.

Jazz(c) def. Ivory to retain the Women's Championship

Mr. Perfect def. Edge(c) to win the European Championship

"Hollywood" Hulk Hogan(c) def. The Rock to retain the Undisputed Championship

The Rock wins a #1 contenders match on Nitro against Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle & Ric Flair to earn this match against Hulk Hogan. The Rock promises that he’ll whoop Hollywood Hulk Hogan’s candy ass, beat the crap out him and says he’s nothing but a has-been who’s being shoved down everyone’s throats right now like he was during the 80’s and 90’s. Hogan tells The Rock that he doesn’t like him, he’s a little brat and he can’t wait kick his teeth down his throat at the Royal Rumble. During this match, the referee is knocked out. The NWO attack The Rock in order to help Hogan but The New Age Outlaws come out and fight with Hall and Nash through the crowd while X-Pac receives a Rock Bottom. The Rock gains the upper hand on Hogan and is about to hit him with a Rock Bottom until Chris Jericho appears, smashes The Rock over the head with a Steel Chair and hits him with a Lionsault before retreating. Hogan takes advantage and pins The Rock to retain the Undisputed Championship!

Stone Cold Steve Austin(19) wins by last eliminating Goldberg(28)

The final four are Stone Cold Steve Austin, Goldberg, Triple H and Ric Flair. Kevin Nash and Scott Hall come back out after being eliminated by Triple H and eliminate The Game from the match.Goldberg eliminates 8 men from this match. Eric Bischoff replaces No Way Out with SuperBrawl! Vince McMahon returns the night after the Royal Rumble and reveals that Stephanie and Linda McMahon have sold the shares they still have in the company to him!

"Hollywood" Hulk Hogan(c) def. Triple H to retain the Undisputed Championship

After the Royal Rumble, Triple H immediately sets his sights on regaining the Undisputed Championship. He wants to restore prestige and get rid of all the WCW menace that’s been terrorising people for months. He warns Hogan that his reign of terror is coming to an end, whether he or Bischoff like it or not. Before this match, The NWO attack Road Dogg and Billy Gunn backstage which writes them off TV. During the match, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and X-Pac then come out to ringside, distract Triple H and cost him the Undisputed Championship. After the match, Kevin Nash shockingly Jackknife Powerbomb’s Stephanie and The NWO raise Hogan’s hand in victory

War Games Match: Team WWF(Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Kurt Angle and The Undertaker) def. Team WCW(Goldberg, Ric Flair, Chris Jericho and The Big Show)

Once Vince McMahon returns, he challenges Eric Bischoff to this match with those stakes which Bischoff accepts. Bischoff tells Vince that this match will take place inside WarGames! Team WWF wins after The Undertaker hits Ric Flair with a devastating Last Ride

After SuperBrawl, Vince McMahon challenges Eric Bischoff to put the company on the line at WrestleMania. Bischoff initially declines but Vince and a returning Shane McMahon who are guarded by WWF wrestlers beat the hell out of Bischoff and force him into saying yes. There will be 11 matches booked at WrestleMania 18. Whatever side has the most wins by the end of the night will have full control of the company.

Booker T and DDP retain their titles in a hard fought battle to make it 1-0 to WCW

The Big Show(WCW)(c) def. Kane(WWF) to retain the Hardcore Championship

The Big Show Chokeslam’s Kane off the stage through 2 tables and pins him to retain the Hardcore Championship. It’s now 2-0 to WCW

Ric Flair(WCW) def. Edge(WWF)

Ric Flair shows that he’s the dirtiest player in the game by using his experience and cheats to beat Edge in his hometown of Toronto to a chorus of boos. 3-0 to WCW

Jazz(WCW)(c) def. Molly Holly(WCW), Lita(WWF) and Trish Stratus(WWF) to retain the Women's Championship

Jazz now makes it 4-0 to WCW

Kurt Angle(WWF), def. Lance Storm(WCW)(c), Goldust(WCW) and RVD(WWF) to win the Intercontinental Championship

Kurt Angle hits Lance Storm with an Angle Slam from the top rope and pins him to win the Intercontinental Championship and cut it down to 4-1 to WCW

DX(WWF) def. NWO(WCW)

After being cost the Undisputed Championship at SuperBrawl and the fact The NWO put their hands on his wife, Triple H is furious, wants revenge and promises to beat the utter crap out of Hall, Nash and X-Pac. The three men then outnumber Triple H or at least think they have because he’s got back up…Shawn Michaels! DX reunite and challenge their former Kliq friends to a match at WrestleMania. The NWO accept and promise to destroy their former friends. In the build up, Kevin Nash says that Triple H and Shawn Michaels were once great friends of the Kliq but now The Game is just Stephanie McMahon’s bitch meanwhile Shawn Michaels has been sitting on his ass in a retirement home for the last 4 years before deciding to actually come back and side with Triple H of all people instead of his true friends. The Game tells Nash that he’s no one’s bitch and at WrestleMania, him and Shawn Michaels are going to kick The NWO’s ass. Shawn Michaels says that the reason he helped Triple H is because he’s his best friend, has stuck by him through the hardest four years of life while Hall and Nash pissed off to WCW because they were greedy and power hungry to run the asylum like a bunch of inmates. Despite X-Pac’s best attempts, DX overcome and win this match after Michaels hits Kevin Nash with a Sweet Chin Music which then leads him into a Pedigree from Triple H. This now cut’s down the deficit to 4-2 to WCW.

Mr. Perfect(WCW)(c) def. Chris Benoit(WWF) to retain the European Championship

Mr. Perfect cheats to retain the European Championship in order to make it 5-2 to WCW which now puts WCW one victory away from winning

Street Fight: Vince McMahon(WWF) def. Eric Bischoff(WCW)

After SuperBrawl, Vince not only wants to host WrestleMania but wants to fight Eric Bischoff! Bischoff says yes after being beat up by Vince and Shane. Bischoff wants to make it a Street Fight which Vince McMahon accepts. On the Raw before WrestleMania, Vince and Bischoff cut a work shoot on each other which lasts about 15 minutes. Vince says Bischoff along with that old asshole who worked with him crushed WCW to the point he had to purchase the company. Bischoff responds by telling Vince that if he thinks he’s the hero when he killed not only WCW but also ECW while also holding talented guys like Jericho and Eddie Guerrero back then he’s a bigger idiot than he thought. In a quick and bloody encounter, Vince McMahon wins to save his company for the time being by bringing the score down to 5-3 to WCW

The Rock(WWF) def. Chris Jericho(WCW)

After being cost the Undisputed Championship at the Royal Rumble, The Rock wants revenge on Y2J. The Rock says that Chris Jericho is nothing but a two faced, slimy, little brat who’s going to get his ass kicked by The Great One at WrestleMania! Jericho says that The Rock is a joke of a movie star who’s nowhere near the big deal he thinks he is and he’s glad he’s getting the opportunity to beat some sense into him at WrestleMania. In the build up, both men constantly tear into one another on the mic with personal digs about Rock’s acting career and Jericho’s singing career with Fozzy. The Rock wins clean after hitting Jericho with two Rock Bottom’s to make it 5-4 to WCW!

The Undertaker(WWF) def. Goldberg(WCW)

Goldberg challenges Undertaker to put his streak on the line at WrestleMania against him which the American Badass accepts. Goldberg says that he had a streak in WCW which came to an end, just like Undertaker’s will at WrestleMania 18! He says The Dean is a shell of his former self and he’ll crush him at WrestleMania. Undertaker says that Goldberg is an arrogant son of a bitch and tells him simply to try him at WrestleMania, he’ll make him famous! Goldberg hits a jackhammer on The Undertaker but by the skin of his teeth, he kicks out! J.R starts to believe. Goldberg can’t believe it. He then goes for a Spear but The Undertaker counters and boots him in the face. Taker then delivers a Tombstone Piledriver to Goldberg and covers him to win this match. The Undertaker is 10-0 at WrestleMania, makes it 5-5 and now the future of the company relies on the main event!

Stone Cold Steve Austin def. "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan(c) to win the Undisputed Championship

This is it. The future of the company rests on this match. The biggest star during the 80’s and early 90’s in Hulk Hogan up against the biggest star in the late 90’s and early 2000’s in Stone Cold Steve Austin. After winning the Royal Rumble, Austin promises to regain the championship he never lost, put an end to Hogan’s reign of terror and in a backstage interview right before this match, he vows to end this Invasion once and for all for the place that truly gave him the platform to be who he is today, despite his differences and wars with Vince McMahon over the years. Hogan promises that he’ll kick Austin’s teeth down his throat and ensure Eric Bischoff’s plan has a payoff. The NWO interfere but so does The Rock, Triple H & The Undertaker to even the odds for Austin. This match is utter chaos and when the referee is down, Vince McMahon grabs the Undisputed Championship and smashes Hulk Hogan over the head and leads him into a Stunner! The Undertaker drags the referee who regains consciousness and makes the cover 1,2…3! Austin has regained the title and Vince McMahon has now been handed back control of the company after being put through hell for the last 8 months. WrestleMania ends with WWF wrestlers celebrating and drinking beer with Austin

The night after WrestleMania, Vince McMahon calls out Eric Bischoff and offers a truce. Vince says that one thing he noticed is that Bischoff didn’t fire any of his guys and he respects that. He tells Bischoff that all of his guys will remain contracted here and he wants to give the fans the best possible show. Vince also announces that with all the talent at his disposal now, something fresh will be happening to give as much talent an opportunity as possible starting on the 22nd of April 2002… The Brand Split! Kurt Angle turns heel the night after WrestleMania after losing the Intercontinental Title to Rob Van Dam. After WrestleMania, Shawn Michaels is viciously assaulted which writes The Showstopper off TV

RVD(c) def. Kurt Angle to retain the Intercontinental Championship

After turning heel, Kurt Angle becomes a kiss ass to Vince McMahon. Vince McMahon grants him his rematch for the Intercontinental Championship. Angle says that Van Dam got lucky and he’ll reclaim what’s rightfully his at Backlash. Van Dam tells Angle that he’s nothing but a stupid brat who’s nowhere near as good as he thinks.

Triple H, The Undertaker and The Rock def. The NWO

After WrestleMania, The NWO are pissed at Triple H, The Rock and The Undertaker for getting involved in the WrestleMania main event and attack all three men individually. The three men retaliate by brawling with The NWO before Eric Bischoff announces that at Backlash, they’ll face off in a huge six man tag team match. After Shawn Michaels is seriously assaulted, Triple H believes it was The NWO but they deny it and say if they did it, they’d whole heartedly it it so Triple H can take his accusations elsewhere. Triple H, The Rock and The Undertaker agree to bury past differences aside to deal with a common enemy and that’s what they do here by winning. The NWO show signs of imploding!

Chris Jericho def. Stone Cold Steve Austin(c) to win the WWF Championship

Chris Jericho earns this opportunity after winning a six-pack challenge on the SmackDown after WrestleMania against The Rock, The Undertaker, Kane, Chris Benoit and Ric Flair. Jericho says that he’s been waiting for another chance at the big one and would love nothing more than to beat that bald headed, beer-drinking, parasite, Stone Cold Steve Austin. Austin tells Jericho that he’s been nothing but a dumb, spoilt, son of a bitch in the last few months who needs a beating of the highest order. Chris Jericho wins the championship via a roll up which without the referees awareness, he’s also got his foot on the ropes. Y2J holds the title up on the ramp as the show draws to a close!

The same draft as in real life occur apart from the fact The Undertaker goes straight to SmackDown and not Raw.The WWF is now the WWE. Vince McMahon appoints Eric Bischoff as the General Manager of Raw and Stephanie McMahon as the General Manager of SmackDown! Kevin Nash, Scott Hall & X-Pac turn on Hulk Hogan the night after Backlash! Hogan turns face. Booker T & Diamond Dallas Page split up after losing their Tag Team Championship rematch on the Raw after Backlash with Booker T turning face after being assaulted by DDP.
