Although the proposition for this week was relatively small scale, my metaphorical ass could not stand for that, and so I decided to expand upon the entire intended initial headquarters fot the campaign.

Upon crossing the Snakethroat , the players will come to an old dilapidated fortress perched upon it's end, squeezed between the two mountain ranges east and west. After reclaiming the fort, it's strategic value is too immense and obvious, making it the perfect place from which to lauch the proper conquest of the Utraen Peninsula. Described bellow are the main buildings existing in the nameless fort at the time of arrival.

Northwall and the Murder's Peak (Aviary)

K'eltoria - Headquarters-[i] Although the proposition for this week was relatively small scale, my metaphorical ass
"The aviary" as painted by one of the expeditionaries

Taking advantage of the crumbling tower leaning on the northern wall, which had itself almost entirely crumbled, an aviary was built on the second floor, the partially destroyed third floor serving as a launching platform for the messager birds and an open coop for them to lounge, and the first floor was turned into a postal and scribbe's office.

Despite it's purposefully preserved decrepit appearance at a glance, the tower has been reinforced with magic and mater alike; wooden beams installed, new and stronger mortar reapplied, mold earth used to add another layer of solid ground to each floor and so on, making it a safe environment for the workers and the birds, but keeping it's ominous destruction as a sullen reminder. A set of stone stairs were also built around the exterior of the tower, that lead directly to the third floor, and are open to the public. The birds used as couriers are very social creatures and enjoy the company, and it makes for a great way for animal lovers to relieve some stress. Guards are posted on the third floor on constant cycles to ensure no letters are sent without due process.

The Main Hall

K'eltoria - Headquarters-[i] Although the proposition for this week was relatively small scale, my metaphorical ass
"Hall at the edge of the unknown" is a ittedly hopeful and romanticized depiction of the guild hall after it's construction

The only building in the fort that was built entirely from scratch, and it shows, it's pristine look contrasting heavily with the dilapidated surroundings, particularly with the temple right across from it. The hall doubles as accomodations for the representatives of each kingdom as well as staging grounds and main istrative building of the expedition.

The hall itself is a marvel of modernity and cooperation, bringing materials and building methods as well as architecture from all three kingdoms present in a cohesive, pleasing and majestic way. It was designed to evoke hope in this final push for survival, a beacon of unity against the approaching end.

The temple

K'eltoria - Headquarters-[i] Although the proposition for this week was relatively small scale, my metaphorical ass
"Death of the Creators" exaggeratedly portraits the derelict temple to the K'eltor, the faith of the lost Utraen people

The significant weathering of the temple in comparison to the rest of the fortress would suggest it a much older structure, but other mysterious phenomena around it point towards a less straightforward answer; The ground is barren, the wind is stale and thr rock face of thr mountain behind it is cracked and old as if the stone itself was somehow more dead.

Despite it's foreboding semblance, the main structure of the temple still stands the test of time. If nothing else, a testament to Utraen architecture, although there are indications of thwir culture as well. The walls inside are marked with faint suggestions of grandiose paintings, the window frames with remnants of broken colored glass poit towards lost mosaics, and it's sizeable yet ultimately unsalvageable library paint the picture of a place of learning even among a complex buit for war as a fortress is.

The east and west Barracks

K'eltoria - Headquarters-[i] Although the proposition for this week was relatively small scale, my metaphorical ass
"A house of many" is a quaint little painting depicting the eastside barracks in the early hours of the morning

The massive structures were identical in design and sat across from each orher inside the fort's walls, perfectly mirrored against their respective rocky backdrops. After minor restorations, they were readily put to use as accomodations for most of the expeditionaries, including the small armed forces of each Kingdom, the imperials occupying the west wing and the knights of ehb and the rangers of Arhok occupying the east wing.

Even after accommodating everyone, there was still considerable room left in either barrack, the structures made to accommodate easily a hundred people on each wing, possibly more, each fitted with large mess halls, sizeable stables and other such amenities. The sheer size and variety would suggest Utraen soldiers posted here brought thwir families as well, and lived in these houses of many during their stay.

The Slumbering Soldier (tavern)

K'eltoria - Headquarters-[i] Although the proposition for this week was relatively small scale, my metaphorical ass
"The Slumbering Soldier" depicting the titular tavern in the final hours of the afternoon, it's chimney roaring and lights expectantly greeting the tired and we

Fitted with a clay-reinforced iron chimney, this structure was probably a smithy before being repurposed into a tarvern. As such, not only reparations were needed, but entire new sections were added to it, giving it a mismatched but cozy feeling.

The tavern is deceptively spacious, since most of the kitchen is partially underground, leaving most of the structure's main floor open for tables and a modest counter, an added structure behind it acting as a wine cellar. The second floor had a modest amount of rooms with the intention of housing visitors and future erbys that weren't comfortable staying in the barracks.

Southwall and The Perch

K'eltoria - Headquarters-[i] Although the proposition for this week was relatively small scale, my metaphorical ass
"Perched at the Precipice" depicts the southward tower, mostly reformed and gazing stoically at the unknown lands ahead

This section of wall and this particular tower face toward the mysterious expanse of the Utraen Peninsula, and thus have been extensively repaired and reinforced with a substantial percentage of the materials brought by the expedition.

The wall being built right at the precipice that culminates on the valley bellow, and the tower above it make a perfect vantage point to survey the land around so far and wide, it'd be virtually impossible to assault the fortress by surprise. This make the tower the perfect perch, and the Rangers of Arhok were more than happy occupying it keeping constant vigil over the land.
