For those of you who didn’t understand my little attempt at creative writing, it tells the story of how I wrote down the questions for this a while ago, but then I forgot about it... Oops! But, I realized the questions were still on my notes! Who would have thought
Let’s get started!
~ What is an Ice Breaker? ~
An icebreaker is basically a small game - or in this case post - that will allow others to get to know each other. This is typically done during the first days of school to let your other classmates and teachers get to know you a bit.
On Aminos, icebreakers are typically a series of questions that answer about themselves. You don’t have to be a new member to participate in this little challenge either! It is for everyone to introduce themselves!
There are two sets of five questions. One set for people who have never played before, and another set for people who have played before. This is so everyone can participate!

1. I was doing a play in highschool and it was based on D&D and my theater teacher had us play a few sessions but he controlled everything.

3. I'm currently playing a hill dwarf bloodhunter that has a revenge plan for a crooked Homebrew dwarven goddess.
4. I fought a shape picture at level 1 survived because of a natural 20 breath attack as a Dragonborn and I got a magical healing infinite Apple out of it.
5. Play your own way and that's for players and DMs don't try to play or give like someone else for example Matt Mercer or Brandon from division 20.
Hi I'm Korty! I play d&d every Thursday with a group of good friends, and we've been playing for over a year now! This is a first campaign for the players but our dm is very experienced and has had to put up with a lot lmao
Ok for the questions
1. We've known about d&d for a while and have tried for years to get a campaign going. Finally or dm said "I'll make a campaign" and did!
2. I'm a player currently, but I'm looking into dming a oneshot or so before making a full blown campaign. Our current one is probably not going to end for a while but I offered to dm the next campaign if we ever get there.
3.I have made a couple characters but the only one I've ever been able to play is Korrin Vanderbiln. She was a lightning (blue) dragonborn cleric of Eldath but a couple sessions ago she was bathed in dragons blood to become a sapphire dragonborn. Very cool! She's a pacifist which was a struggle at the beginning but the party is all pretty good in nature so we've adapted to each of our ideals and settled things between the fighter and the pacifist lmao. They're good friends now! She was also cursed bya dwarf as a baby so she is Short. (5'1 same as me for easy cosplay purposes in the future :eyes: )
4. Ok so basically Korrin is comedic relief character because instead of hurting you with violence she'll insult you until you give up. Very good at using the Command Spell. That's not important tho one time earlier in the campaign we were visiting our Spore Druids hometown and the duchess of that town was actually her grandmother who was very Not Pleased that her granddaughter was a half elf and not a full elf so she tried to hire an assassin to kill her and we found wanted signs for everyone in our party plastered over town. The reward for turning us in was 500 gold pieces each so Korrin thought "let me turn myself in so I can get the money from it" and told the party not to follow her but they did and all went to jail except aster who was wild shaped as a black cat and snuck into the castle, so when we were released from jail Korrin got her money and no one else did, but she also used the excuse that she was looking for her cat to get into the castle and her story morphed into her being a ghost hunter looking for a ghost cat while all her friends were looking for the actual cat. She befriended the duchesses grandson and there was an actual ghost, it was just a dragonborn not a cat. And that's how we found out that Aster (spore druid) was related to this family. She grew up with a foster family so she didn't even know. Wild
Oh! 5. Please establish boundaries between being in character and out of character. We had some hurt feelings from us not being able to tell if we were in character or not so try to ensure everyone knows whether you're in or out of character and even if it seems like it's obvious it may not be to everyone else.
Hey I'm Matthew and I'm kinda new to D&D, and definitely new to amino.
1. It really started when I watched critical role and how amazing they were so I decided to read up on d&d
2. I only D&D once with my brother and it was a starwars campaign and I was the DM so I wanted to be a player
3. Recently I created a half orc bard rogue multiclass, named Thokk and tried to find out who has destroyed his village while he was away hunting.
4. So while I was doing my campaign with my brother then somehow his luck was so amazing that he wanted to yeet a npc and so he got a natural 20 so I had to let it happen and it derailed the story that I had made.
5. Unfortunately I am new to d&d and have almost no advice but what I have learnt is that you must keep you players in gaged and make them feel good. #Icebreakingchallenge
Hi I’m Fiona! I’m a bit new to DnD, and totally new to amino :)
1. I found out about D&D through a friend, who wanted to a campaign but not alone so I ed with her. My dad also used to be into RPGs when he was young, he tried to teach me when I was young but that didn’t really catch on :satisfied: :satisfied:
2. Player! I’m still pretty new to D&D but not a complete newbie :)
3. Grayson is a rogue, subclass scout. She’s a fisher girl who’s lived alone her whole life. As the last human left in a world that has come to hate humans, she has lived a lonely life. At the beginning of our adventure, she was recruited for a mission to fight “the beasts.” She is now learning to live and fight with a team through her adventure!
4. One time we’re were around the edge of a floating island, and we found a tunnel in the wall. Without hesitation Grayson climbed through the hole, but a shitty athletics role let her fall through the other side.. which as it turned out the hole lead straight out of the island and she was now free falling down to the ground! Luckily her team saved her and she’s still kickin :)
5. Have fun!! Don’t worry about being bad at the game ( I’m honestly not that good at it ) if you don’t understand stats or rolling, just ask!! People would much rather give you a quick tip than watch you struggle to play.

Hey there everyone my name is Nick! I am completely new to both DnD and Amino so I figured I’d give this icebreaker thing a shot...
1. My interest into DnD really started from watching the Twits and Crits series from the YouTube channel Funhaus while I was working my way through college. I always loved fantasy settings in video games like the Elder Scrolls and in books growing up like Deltora Quest, so I thought DnD would be a great outlet to engage with those interests even more!
2. I think it will be really fun to play either the Ranger or Rogue. I know Ranger tends to get some criticism in base 5e, but I think I could make it a fun play style with the right character!
3. Not sure how deep into RP I would get but I am definitely looking forward to interaction with other players. I’ve always been a people person so I think it will be really fun working through interacting with others through the perspective of a character that’s different from myself!
4. Yes! I think becoming a DM would be really cool and I’ve considered volunteering to do it to get my own friends into the game, but I’d really like to play the game as a character first before making that jump.
5. I think my biggest worry about getting into the game is finding the right group to help get me up onto my feet. I know I’m new and have a lot to learn, so I’d love to find a group that will help out with this endeavor and not one that I feel I’d be bogging down with my inexperience.
