》BACKSTORY《
All my life, my parents tried to tell me what I was. I was a middle child in a family of seven. Every one of us seemed to have our future planned out for us. We would be farmers, artisans, bakers, but never anything that wasn't expected of a halfling. Not me. I wanted to a church. My parents weren't religious; they thought it was a bunch of hogwash. They criticized me and called me a fool for reading scrolls on Silvanus and other gods of my people. But I would rather study and attempt to communicate with gods that had stories of kindness and heroism than my parents...who were horribly bigoted people. I eventually left my home, shouting to them as they glared at me that I would return to them one day as a true Cleric, a Cleric of the forests. I would prove to them that my life wasn't what they wanted, but what I made for myself. I studied for many years under the guidance of the priests of Silvanus' church. I learned the importance of the forest and how we strived to protect it. It was during this time that I was placed in charge of one of the convent's horses...or rather, the runt of the herd. Because of my small stature, a pony named Aebh was chosen for me as my faithful companion. It was important for Nature Clerics to have an animal that tied them to the wild of the forest, so they always ed what they were protecting. And now I've been sent out to recruit new Clerics for Silvanus, the Old Oak, with my companion Aebh. I'll prove my family wrong. I'll prove everyone wrong. A halfling can be anything they want to be.
