Longisquama was a small triassic reptile known for its strange back plumes. Most modern theorizes is that it was used to attract females.

In the world of Dnd it's a small reptile found in Chult, often nicknamed the Bard's lizard for its unique mannerisms. Confusingly as a defense they will flash their back plumes to charm their predator before running away. Because of this most charisma spellcasters love having them as Familars for the extra skills in the arts of charming.
