Since i’m pretty new to playing DnD i only have set of dice so far, but i love them so all is good.
Story: So since i’m the halfling of the group, i’m in charge of dealing with all the small spaces. Which also means i was put in charge of crawling through a small pipe to disarm a magic trap (despite having no idea how to do so). Along with this, the pipe was 20 feet above the ground so our dragonborn yeeted me up there and into the pipe. After about two minutes of me trying to disarm the spell (once again, with no idea how to work with magic) i decided to just scratch the sigils of the wall with my dagger. The DM told me to roll a saving throw, which is basically her way of saying “You’re about to get destroyed” and i managed to roll a nat 1. Next thing you know, there is a half burnt halfling being launched out of a flaming pipe and being thrown 30ft across the room into the wall. I somehow survived and quickly learned that i should never go back in the pipe.
