So I’m currently DM’ing hoard of the dragon queen, I started with four players, the recommended amount, and now, half of them have left, I feel as though it’s my fault for not keeping the other two players in check, and being WAAAAAY too lenient and generous, and now one of my players is going through a tough time in her life, I don’t know how I can help her, and I think she might be leaving as well, leaving me with one player, I don’t know, is it my fault, this is my first campaign, and I’m very inexperienced, I don’t know what to do.

It's very unlikely to be your fault, these things happen and chances are the first two to leave just weren't ever truly committed

One of them said he didn’t like something about his character, the other said the campaign was getting too cancerous, I hope to god I can find more players
