I’ve got a set of shinko 700’s on order that should be in sometime tomorrow. From what I’ve read it seems reasonably well suited to my purposes. If I don’t like them then once I wear them out I’ll probably buy a set of ninja 250 wheels and run sport touring tires on the street and keep knobbies on my factory wheels.

Absolutely hate my shinko 700s... i run 60/40ish with favoritism towards dirt and gravel. about 2k miles on a set mounted to my 650L and the rear is just about worn bald. The tire doesn't self clean mud worth a darn and skates in the gravel. Will never run another set of these again
Damn I already ordered, wasn’t much else available in my sizes at the moment other than 10/90 tires and absurdly expensive stuff. Maybe they’ll do better for me since I’m on a smaller/slower bike but I’m gonna need more than 2k out of a rear. If that’s all I get out of them then I’m buying ninja 250 wheels and sport touring tires and keeping knobbies on the factory wheels.

I'm sitting at 10.5k right now, I bought the bike at about 8.5k and these were brand new. They run nice on the asphalt, but then you get into the wearing problem. From what I've read 2.5k to 3k out of a dual sport tire on a bike my size is about the average, im just very disappointed with their overall performance.

I’ll have to see how it goes. The speed/load ratings of the tires I got are way overkill for my bike so maybe it’ll hold up for me. I’ll update here once
I get some mileage on them
Nawww
