Splatoon 1:
The Slosher is a formidable combat weapon and is great at covering turf that fires an arc of ink allowing it to ink over walls and from below
Stats: 52 range
70 damage per hit
54 handling
Sub Weapon: Burst Bomb
The Burst Bomb on this set is used mainly for combat allowing for burst cancelling. Burst cancelling is throwing a burst bomb at an enemy and using a follow up attack for a quick splat. This allows for the weapon to win or trade splats with an enemy in an engagement that would result in losing the engagement or trading splats if you didn't use this technique.
Special: Inkstrike
Pushes objectives in splat zones and covers turf fast. Can be used to deal with an enemy charger and get extra turf coverage at the end of match. Can also be used to ink areas of the map you want in your color.
Splatoon 2:
The Slosher is still a formidable combat weapon and is great at covering turf and it fires an arc of ink that can splat from below and over walls
Stats: 52 range
70 damage per hit
54 handling
Sub Weapon: Suction Bomb
Manipulates enemy movement making them more predictable. Great for forcing chargers out of places you don't want them in.
Special: Tenta Missiles
Can play a great team role and covers a respectable amount of turf. Makes enemies try to avoid the missiles so it can temporarily pressure a charger off of their perch so you can advance or splat them from below while they're not expecting it. Also great for picking off already damaged enemies and getting pressure on the other team
Advantages:
-has an advantage over common shooters
-will most likely splat if it gets a first strike
-is an all around great fighter
Disadvantages:
-struggles against almost anything that outranges it
-has a very hard time with dealing with sneak attacks
Equipment Recommendations:
-Ink Saver Main- this set is very ink hungry
-Ink Saver Sub- better efficiency with bombs
-Special Charge Up- helps it get its special more
-Swim Speed Up- better mobility and faster turf coverage
-Bomb Range Up- further reach for your burst bombs
-Sub Power up- further reach for your suction bombs
-Damage Up- makes burst cancelling easier
Damage Up and Bomb Range up are only in Splatoon 1. The difference between bomb range up and sub power up is that sub power up compliments all subs and bomb range up only compliments splat bombs, burst bombs, suction bombs, disruptors, and point sensors
Tips:
-The main weapon can splat enemies that are on higher up better than a shooter can or behind short walls so use this to your advantage
-Fight from the high ground. Shooters have trouble reaching you when you're above them and landing your shots is easier from higher up
-Because this weapon can splat enemies from behind short walls you can splat a splat brella while they're using their shield
-Do not forget about burst cancelling. It's your best friend while playing this set
