My E3 2019 Wishes!

Hi everyone! As you all know, E3 2019 is approaching, we only have to wait one more month for it, and I suppose you're hyped like me for this event! Today I am going to tell you my personal wishes for this year's E3! Before starting, I want to precise that everything present on this list is not necessarily likely, so I am not going to base my list on that!

With this said, let's start!

First of all, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe needs some new content! I mean, many of the other Switch games are getting that! Let's think about Mario Tennis Aces, continously filled with new and creative characters or Super Mario Odyssey which recently received a VR game mode! A new DLC pack, free or not, should come in order not to let the game die!

However, what should this game get to improve and become interesting to play? Well, firstly, a free DLC which includes a new game mode! An example could be Mission Mode, with different missions and new bosses to defeat, like an upgrade of the DS version! Another example is a new online game mode called Events, held by Nintendo itself, where everyone can and try to win a certain prize! In my view, this type of DLC can boost the single player experience (with online included), which is usually something almost no one cares about, as Mario Kart is usually meant to be played with friends locally.

The other DLC should not be free, as it would be a complete pack, which includes characters, cups with tracks and new karts! Some ideas for the characters are Birdo and Diddy Kong, who are missing in this game for no reason, while some new tracks could be dedicated to Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Sunshine or Super Mario Odyssey (Cascade Kingdom as an example)! The addition of new characters would make the game more interesting and fun to play, and there's no problem for the cost: Mario Kart 8's DLCs are a clear demonstration that some new content is worth the price!

Recently, everyone has been rumouring and talking about the addition of SNES games to Nintendo Switch as a special offer for Nintendo Switch Online . However, those games never arrived, and, until now, we only have some NES games, which is good, but we need something new! In my view, a new SNES games library should be added to the Switch, and continously updated with new games every month, and it should obviously be free for Nintendo Switch Online !

But, as you read, I also included Nintendo 64 and GameCube in the title. That's because some of the greatest games of those consoles can also come to the Switch! Valid examples are Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine! Those would also attract many more people to the online service, and it would become definitely worth the price with these additions!

The only disadvantage that those games would bring is the increase of the cost of the online service, maybe from 20 to 25 or 30 euros/dollars per year, but, for these new games, this change would be completely worth it to me!

Talking about new games, I would like to see the announcement of a new Pikmin game! Pikmin 4 is also likely to come on the Switch, maybe on 2020, so an announcement trailer at E3 is the best way to present that! I I only tried Pikmin 3 once with a Wii Remote with a Nunchuck connected, and the controls were so comfortable and clean. With Joy-Con, the controls would have the chance to improve and become even more comfortable, if that is possible!

The setting of the announcement trailer can be the same as Pokémon Sword and Shield's one, which was short but hyped us all showing new environments and Pokémon! Pikmin 4's trailer should to the same, only showing some new places and gimmicks, and then stop!

Another thing I would definitely love to see is a couple of trailers: Super Mario Maker 2 and Pokémon Sword and Shield. Super Mario Maker 2 is definitely going to happen, as the game is going to come out in two weeks by then, so I will just say what I would like to see in this new trailer.

It has to be 4 or 5 minutes long, showing firstly every new addition in detail, like slopes, new themes and, last but not least, the Super Mario 3D World theme. After that, they can show some game play of the game and, finally, how online works, if it is changed, what's new in this game and so on! Something I also personally would like to see is the announcement of a special event in the game, like a themed building contest, with a prize, which will surely hype everyone (me included, obviously)!

On the other hand, we have Pokémon Sword and Shield. A new trailer for these new Pokémon games is not urgent, as they are said to come this winter, but I would really appreciate a second trailer for these games!

This new trailer, in my view, should show us some new Pokémon coming from Galar, the main characters we will encounter during our journey (without necessarily telling their role in the adventure) and maybe some gimmicks, for example the Armor Evolution rumored and leaked some time ago!

In the end, I would really appreciate to see some changes to the Nintendo Switch system, as well as new functionalities and additions!

Talking about changes and improvements, Nintendo should focus on making the Nintendo Switch Online app experience better. We have to deal with the fact the console itself doesn't have an internal microphone to talk with friends online, so Nintendo created the specific app for this system, and that is okay, but for now the app seems very awkward and kinda incomplete! My wishes for this improvements are a messaging platform in order to communicate with a friend even if you are not playing (for example, to ask someone to play with you!), and some new functions for specific games, like a Tournament Finder for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (it would make you search for a tournament to save on the console, useful especially when you don't have your console with you)!

The other wish I have for the improvement of the console is the introduction of themes! I know most of you will agree with me on the fact that Nintendo Switch needs new themes dedicated to games, characters, and so on! A possible idea could be giving a theme for every game you have a save data of on the Switch, but also making themes a price for certain challenges held by Nintendo (for example, complete World Of Light to obtain a special Super Smash Bros. Ultimate theme!).
