VERSTAPPEN NABS A FULL TIME PRESEASON RUMBLE RIDE
Max Verstappen has confirmed Joe Gibbs Racing has extended his stint in the 02 Tag-Heuer Camry.
Verstappen had this to say:" You know, the reason I did this originally was to learn. While that is still the case, I got in that car and I realised the learning curve is huge. I think a stint in the Preseason Thunder will help me preform at my best when daytona rolls around."
TRAVIS PASTRANA GETS FULL RACE RIDE
Travis Pastrana has confirmed he will race a full time schedule in the number 99 Nitro Circus Ford Fusion for Roush Fenway racing. Travis Pastrana had the following to say regarding this:
"I umm.. I had a Roush ride back in 2013... It was really good, I uh, had 4 top tens and a Pole Position. I hope to get some wins out of this season and right some wrongs.
BRENDAN GAUGHAN REFLECTS ON PERFORMANCE IN PRACTICE
During practice for the 2018 season at Daytona, Brendan Gaughan had a very fast car, and posted some of the fastest times of the field! Getting faster times than the likes of Kurt Busch, Kyle Larson, and Clint Bowyer. Gaughan had this to say:
"You know, I've been through thick and thin in my Career, and for it to really pay off like this is a sign of something better for the Beard Motorsports team. I'll try and ride this goodness to the Preseason Rumble, and maybe to a good points finish."
FERNANDO ALONSO POSTS FASTEST DAYTONA TIME
Fernando Alonso posted the fastest time at practice for the 2018 season and had this to say: "Man, It's not one of those things you expect to do, you know? It was truly a fascinating thing to find out I got the fastest time. I look forward to when I will be able to race at Daytona for this series." Rick Ware was speechless when we had told him the result Alonso had posted.
MORGAN SHEPHERD POSTS THIRD FASTEST TIME
Morgan Shepherd's self sponsored Shepherd Racing Ventures #89 Chevrolet Camaro posted the third fastest time in practice, shocking all. Shepherd said this:" I think it's apparent then that I never did lose my spark."
