Welcome to the first newsletter of the season! We are 1 race from being halfway through the season! We have had a lot of drama and surprises this season! Lets jump right into it!

Driver Movement

I know right! Workers from PMI have told multiple sources that Leland Pfief has taken all the money from the shop and jumped ship! Which has caused the team to close it’s doors. It took 2 weeks to confirm these rumors. But they are true. Thus 4 out of the 5 PMI cars did not show up to Homestead. But one car and driver did. That was Rookie of the Year Contender Casey Mears. Jared Holmes at Hoes Mad Motorsports picked Mears up once they heard the news! Smart choice by Jared. Sadly Mears did not have a great race finishing 36th. Hopefully this does not foreshadow the rest of the season for Mears.

Poole, the owner of Poole Motorsports also reached out. He snagged Ken Schrader. Sadly Schrader was not able to make it to Homestead. So he missed that race. He has fallen to 26th in points, Schrader had 1 top 10 with PMI. Maybe he can rebound for a Top 20 or Top 15 finish.

Lastly. Marco Suarez has grabbed Kevin Grubb. Which may be a risk for his team. Grubb underperformed massively at PMI. Grubb is 35th in points with 1 top 10. He has an average finish of 24.25 and an average start if 25.25. In only 4 starts. So I expect him to be mid pack, maybe Suarez’s gamble will pay off next season.

Owner Interviews

You are the Owners Points leader and owner of Fast Turtle Racing! Quirky! His team has 4 cars and only 2 top 10’s.

Ravid: Wow Quirky! You are leading the owners points by almost 200 points! How does that make you feel! Also how do you expect your team to do in the next few races? You’re best driver is currently Bill Elliot, he is sitting 16th in points right now.

Quirky: It feels amazing. Turtle Racing as a team has been doing amazing. I hope we can be AMAZING and win the rest of the season lol.

Ravid: Thanks Quirky! Best of luck for you and your drivers for the rest of the season!

Here is Caleb Marinelli, the owner of Marinelli Racing Enterprises! His team is second in points and his driver Jeff Green is leading in points!

Ravid: Before I jump into any questions. I hear you have been force feeding your drivers Marinara Sauce? Is this true?

Caleb: Only the best for my drivers. And besides, they seem to love it

Ravid: Back on topic. Your driver Jeff Green has been leading in points for 3 weeks now! Do you expect him to win soon?

Caleb: This team is very capable. We have speed and we have the talent to do something truly remarkable, don't be shocked if Jeff, or one of our cars in general is able to pull in to victory lane.

Ravid: Last question, Pontiac must be supplying good equipment! Do you plan on staying with them for future seasons?

Caleb: We don't plan on leaving them anytime soon. Pontiac allows us to have some amazing race cars, week in week out, and I'm glad they're in the sport.

Ravid: Thanks for your time Caleb!

Caleb: 10-4

Ravid: Here we are with Poole, owner of Poole Motorsports! Hi Poole, we recently heard that you picked up Ken Schrader to drive for your team. What do expect from him? Do you have any goals?

Poole: Well right now everything is new, now that his old team is disbanded. I know it’s a bit of a change for him but I’m going to give him the best equipment I can give him. My goal is to have a great rest of the season with him. He is a highly skilled driver and I can’t wait to see what he does for this team

Ravid: Thanks Poole! Good luck during the rest of the season!

Poole: Thank you.

Ravid: Last but not least we have Kylee Greider. Owner of Sidemen Theory Racing. This team has had to qualify for each and every race, and taught some big teams that determination and grit is everything. Kyle Petty has been on a roll with 2 Top 5’s and he is currently 8th in points! Now that your car is in the Top 35 in points you will have a charter for next season! Are you confident for the next few races, and do you think Kyle can pull an upset and win?

Kylee: Over the last few races we have truly gotten our crap together and have improved our communication within our team. If you look at the past races and where we finished you can see the improvement. I strongly believe that our team can pull off an upset and beat our competitors. We are already planning for next season and Kyle cannot wait to our sponsors again next season.

Ravid: Thanks a lot! Hopefully you can get into victory lane, and surprise those big teams!

Kylee: Thank you!

Confirmed News

- At the end of the season, the top 35 cars in points will gain charters giving them an automatic spot in the race. This means that more smaller teams can qualify. Team sizes will not be made smaller as more teams come in.

Rumors

- A possible Points System change may happen for Season 2. Which will give less points, and a 12 car chase will start at race 7. This will tighten up the points battle. But consistently won’t be pressured as much. Team owners will have to vote on the change.

- The last rumor. Involves a race change. Watkins Glen has showed interest to host a race, a night race dare I say. This race will replace the first Dockside race. Which was the least popular, with only 43 cars showing up. Dockside will still be the finale. Only the first Dockside race will be removed.

[End Broadcast]

Thanks for showing up! If you have interest in this league, or any questions please message me, the more the merrier!
