MCaB PSA: PrideFall

It has come to the staff’s attention about the existence of PrideFall, and what damage it could do to the uninformed. However, please do not despair! Everything will be alright ^^

What is PrideFall?

PrideFall is a group of people who exist to attack any and all forms of LGBTQ+, including the people who represent it. This can happen on many platforms including Amino, Twitter, and Instagram. This can be done through harmful videos, harassment, cyber stalking, and threats. These sort of actions can appear through dms or unknown links. The people that belong to this movement are known as 4Chan, and they could last the whole month of June and may escalate.

What can you do?

Do not access links sent by unknown or random people through dms. The links could lead to disturbing images, videos, doxxing, or even viruses. Please do not respond and instead report this problem to the staff with screenshots and we will take it from there. The last step is to block them and you’re free! Please keep in mind to be calm to and to not spread hysteria in public chats or posts about the matter.

The most important thing you and others can do is to not panic. Using the information from this PSA (and any others) can help you stay protected. If you wish to do extra action erasing any evidence of LGBTQ+ from your profile can help diminish target for 4Chan harassment. In past years this event has not been very big, but it is still better to be educated and calm on the matter. Enjoy the month ^^
