It had been nearly 2 months since Lursira had hatched. Avein wasn't quite quite as stressed, but still fretted for her daughter's safety. Until today.
Her mother had been worry and fretting for the last days over the eggs. Lursira would never it it but she missing her mother dotting on her ceaselessly. Cod, she was already resenting her little sibling before they hatched.
Orion had to drag his daughter to the hatchery for her sibling's brood hatching. Avien was already there anticipating the brood's hatchings.
It was... mesmerizing. One egg, rocking back and forth with another following soon after. But her sibling's egg was yet to stir. Perhaps it was stillbirth, no. That was an awful thought but Lursira had no idea where in had come from.
The first egg to hatch was a dark green one. The mother was eagerly looking at it as cracks began to form and maple syrup was leaking through. The egg split and a tiny female was sitting within what was left. Her mother picked her up and muttered "I shall name you Angel Nightwalker."
Lursira felt a wistfulness. Mom never carried her that way, even when she was younger. Then another egg split. It was a leafy green egg. A male hatched out of it, his mother licking him clean.
Why? Why did all these hatchlings get treated this way. Her mother had never once done this for her. Soon egg after egg was beginning to split open. Lursira could hear the proud mothers naming them. Nightdancer, Moss, Quetzal, and Ivory. Lursira sighed wistfully, perhaps her promised sibling was already dead within their shell.
Soon, there were only two eggs left to hatch. One was that of her sibling's and one for which no parent was present. All the other eggs had been green, one in particular had been emerald green.
The parentless egg was beginning to rock. "Azuli, do you know who was watching and care for that egg the last few weeks?" "No my queen, it's just been here with the rest of the brood." "How curious." Avein walked over to the egg as it was beginning to crack but it was different.
Suddenly, something sharp an curved like a fang pierced through the eggshell and began to peck away. There was no sugary substance seeping through, but there was a wet blob inside. The egg's top broke away and there was a mass of wet muddy feathers and 'fur'.
Then, Lursira saw the egg, beginning to rock abnormally. As though it were trying to move in two different directions. "Mom. What is wrong with the egg" asked an alarmed Lursira.
The egg stopped, and with sudden force the top was cracked. The egg then was split and there was a mess of honey around it now. But what Lursira saw dumbfounded her.
How was this possible?! Her mother turned her attention to her egg, and was filled with elation. "I would've never dared to hope for something like this! There have only been 5 twin eggs in the entire span of time between now and the beginning of our kind! Including this one!"
In the remains of the mossy leaf green egg, were 2 female hatchlings with similar colors curled together in the small space. They looked shockingly similar to Avien ,too. But both had baby blue eyes. Azuli was so excited about this though.
Lursira could tell from just looking at both of them. She was now obsolete to an extended. Both adults were fully in grossed in the twin sisters. She wanted nothing more that for mother to stop fussing over them and pay attention to her. Then she heard it and forced herself to accept the harsh reality of it.
"I shall name you Lola, and you Psyche!"

Autodesk SketchBook.
It's simple and efficient for a creature or routine and simplicity like me.
Is Moss going to have any major role? I'm mostly asking because I'm really curious @~@
Secondary role in the story with the royals.
But all named Sacruterabi will have a story dedicated to them specifically, so Moss will have his own chance to shine.

Ooo okay OuO
*Lola catches a glimpse of some berries, She swiftly ran Straight for them!!* "Mmmmmmmmm". Says Lola.
So sweet.
May I write Lola as the sister that wants to help her people, but not by being queen? Like she wants to be an advisor.
