The monsoons were a lot wilder that she recalled. She hated monsoons. All they did were remind her of ... it. But the kingdom was shut in, and so would she. But Sakura knew her dreams would be plagued by Sycamore's death to her dismay.
The heavens weren't too bad. All the previous rulers were here. Kamari, Kaja, Anara, Jharir, many others. Including him, Sycamore. The monsoons had practically shrouded their home in darkness and rain. It was nearly pitch black, but they all heard the sounds.
A piercing cry ripped through the darkness and the monsoon's roaring. It was a young one's cry, but why from the palace. There were only 2 dragonets in the palace. But what they heard next was a deep cry, but from no dragonet.
How could this be?! The palace had gone dim for a couple of minutes. Then Sakura came back to her only son's room, only to find his corpse. Sukara wept. All those she held dear were dying. But who would be so cruel as to end a child's life.
The royals in the heavens were stunned. How?! Who?! What could've done this?! Murder was one thing, but to murder a young prince was wrong. They knew that the someone or something had done this was still in the palace, that was a guarantee.
During the vicious storm, Sakura gathered all in the palace and demanded them to tell her where they had been. Her sister had been with their daughter in their room. All the guards had been doing their job and not one had left their post. All the servants said they had been doing their jobs from preparing the evening feast, to cleaning and organizing.
The royals watched Sakura attempt to decipher who had done it. But they had came to a conclusion, whatever had done it was probably on their way out or was staying behind, hidden with the intent to murder her. For not a thing with a soul would've been daring enough to risk themselves to this, and no one had left the palace either.
But it was when Sakura went back to the scene of the crime that she found out what had happened. Her dear son, was dead. And there was a creature waiting for her in his room, a creature with wings black as tar, and eyes so soulless that they were as alive as stone.
She should've known. It was back, and it was now doing something that shook her to the core. It was feasting on the prince's corpse, but it was no thing that belonged to their world. The exiled cannibal of the Sacruterabi was back. And it had come back from the Dim World itself.
