Jin is a fair person who truly cares for not only his comrades but anyone he views as people with their own wills, despite how deep or shallow his connection to them is. He highly commends "the value of life," and to this end, he will ensure that others receive a "proper death". Because of this, he believes that it is morally unethical for him to take another human life, and tries to avoid any possibility of doing so unless as a last resort. He is also not without his more energetic and outgoing traits. Jin is also highly ionate whenever he's focused on achieving certain goals and being quite stubborn when confronted about them, such as when he was questioned why he wanted to become a hero. Although usually composed, good-natured and friendly, Jin can be angered quickly in the face of pure malice after witnessing firsthand the cruelty that people were capable of, Jin felt so profoundly disgusted that he felt a genuine desire to kill for the first time. One of Jin’s defining traits is his willingness to sacrifice himself for others.

Jin’s quirk is tied to shadows, both his own and others. He has many different capabilities with his quirk; he’s able to jump between different peoples and objects shadows; when in between shadows he’s in a pitch black pocket dimension that he can move through, when he sees a shadow in the physical world, he sees a clear opening in the shadow dimension that he can exit through. The pressure of the being in the shadow realm is similar to that of being underwater he’s able to take for longer then most but even he has his limits. Jin is able to manipulate his shadow to take any form he wants however the more complicated the form the more focus and stamina it drains from him. For instance if he was to make a bunch of hands from his shadow the hands would all have the same strength and speed as his own unless he specifically made them different; this wouldn’t have as much of an effect as if he for instance made a large wolf appear from his shadow and instead of having it connected, had it be able to free roam, he wouldn’t be able to do hold this for very long due to the mental and physical toll it would take. He can also use shadows as an extension of himself for instance, if he was to leave a part of his shadow in a certain room, he’d be a able to hear what happens there by forming his shadow into an ear, or see what’s happening by forming his shadow into an eye, similarly if he’s touching someone else’s shadow he’ll be able to hear their thoughts, this is especially useful in battle. Jin can also merge himself with his shadow to enter a new form, this form looks somewhat demonic with him looking somewhat demonic.

This ability gives Jin enhanced speed, strength and a boost in all physical capabilities, he also gains a sort of sixth sense called shadow sense, in which he’ll be able to feel where a person’s shadow is and with that he’ll be able to determine where they are. This ability also allows Jin. Jin can also cover a given area (around the size of an NBA court at max) in his shadow but instead of a thin layer of darkness it’s more similar to an ocean of thick shadows, this is his domain, a domain he calls Ragnarök.

when this ability is activated he’s in a few minutes of his peak essentially, imagine an adrenaline rush he can’t feel any of the mental of physical fatigue that this ability puts on his body but he will be able to feel any additional damage done by his opponent, and just because the he can’t feel the effects doesn’t mean they’re not taking place. When his domain is out, he can drag others into his shadow, create any number of forms for his shadows, he gets a little speed boost due to him being able to manipulate the kinetic energy caused by him stepping on his shadows allowing him to propel himself forwards although this ability is more subconscious then anything. This does take a large toll on him and due to that he’d only be able to use it for a few minutes without ing out, if was to truly sur his limits he’d be able to keep the domain active but his body would begin the bleed both internally and externally among other physical weaknesses. When in this domain, the shadows that people step on is just his so any weight added to it he will also feel himself meaning that with enough weight he’ll be rendered immobilised and while he can change the shadows themselves to make them harder to walk across he will be open to physical attacks. In this state he can also enter his shadow-infused mode giving all the benefits that was previously stated, an extra boost in power due to the domain and, even thought they are still there, he won’t be able to feel the drawbacks, that being said they will be much more drastic and he will most definitely be able to notice that he is most likely bleeding either internally or externally despite not really feeling much of anything in the realm of pain

𝙱𝙰𝙲𝙺𝚂𝚃𝙾𝚁𝚈

As a child Jin was raised solely by his grandfather, never really knowing much about his parents he inquired about them and his grandfather would happily tell him a lot about his mother’s side of the family but when it came to his father’s and grandfather’s side of the family, the information he had was always very limited, his grandfather told him a few funny stories every now and again but he never knew much as a child; he didn’t really complain especially when he was about 9 and developed his quirk everything about his parents just flew out of his head. When his grandfather entered the child’s bedroom and saw him having a little spar with the two shadow hands he had made his grandfather froze for a moment, in disbelief for a moment. He told his Jin that he was so incredibly proud of the boys quirk and that he had a feeling it would be a really strong one. Jin was ecstatic, he would get bullied at school as people thought he was quirk-less therefore bullied him heavily, but the next day when his usual bullied came to pick on him and one through a first a shadow hand caught it in the air, the boy stopped his punch from shock but then with his other hand hit Jin in the stomach, despite the fact that Jin’s shadow had blocked it the boy’s punch broke right through the block. That day when he went home, he told his grandfather what happened essentially asking why and his grandfather told him that he needs to train his body and his quirk will reciprocate, as he gains strength so does his quirk; but Jin had no idea how to train; and even through his grandfather was a retired hero he was much too old to be physical; or at least Jin thought. Jin’s grandfather called in sick to school the next day and took him somewhere, to an old friends place of work. When they got there it seemed to be an abandoned building type place but inside it was packed with people with a few fighting stations and then one very big ring in the middle, as Jin’s grandfather held him close, the old friend he mentioned came and greeted them, telling Jin that his grandfather has been beating him in fights since they were kids. Jin’s grandad explained that this man was a very old friend of his, someone he would call a brother. This man’s son and Jin’s father developed this underground fighting ring through it they both developed their dreams, Jin’s father’s dream of having a family that extended blood and Hanma Rijiki’s dream of having a family built around the element of what he loved most; fighting. Jin’s grandfather brought him here, to the organisation, so he could train and make this place his home away from home as sadly Jin’s grandfather wouldn’t be around forever. As a child people teased Jin about just being a kid and bring much weaker then his dad, so to prove them wrong Jin grabbed a two knives and scarred his face a little bit under the eyes, while his grandfather got scared he, along with everyone else, began laughing and saying he is truly his dad’s son; another kid watched this, thinking Jin’s an idiot but finding him funny, after the situation died down the kid, Hikari his name is, approached Jin and from there a friendship was built. Across the many years Jin spent lots of time there, training, fighting, cultivating friendships, brotherhoods and worked through his fear of talking to girls; but most notably he learned much, much more about his family history on his father’s side. He learned that he’s actually a descendent of a long line of ancient assassins in the very old ages of Japan, these assassins had essentially been erased from history as every book or record of them was burned the day they disbanded, many people believed the family was cursed after that as everyone in the family was quirkless but that ended with Jin’s grandfather, so when Jin’s grandfather saw him wielding a quirk he was so happy he was in shock. However a few months after learning this Jin’s grandfather died, with his last wishes being for Jin to “die a good death”. After Jin’s grandfather died, the man he would call the closes thing he had to a brother, Hikari, decided that the two of them would go to UA together and die good deaths. At UA those two did amazing, winning every sports festival fight until they got to each other, ing every test and even both being put down as possible future number 1 hero prospects. The day before they were to be appointed as of the big 3 in there third year of school they saw a hero killing a man who was investigating corruption among the heroes. They were shocked by what they saw, the hero herself looked at them and told them that she is a product of UA and that if they want to have a good death they should leave. The words good death hit Jin with an impact however she wasn’t the only one to see them, and she quickly told them to run, the two prospects wasted no time and began to sprint; they didn’t know where to go as they obviously couldn’t go to the UA dorms, so they went to the one place they could always go. The organisation. Once they entered and sat down they knew they had to leave UA but had do idea what to do. While Hikari began thinking Jin was freaking out, his grandfather was a hero, there’s no way he could have done something like this. A few weeks by and the two of them knew that they couldn’t become heroes if the system was like this. So Hikari decided to rebel in the best way he knew, he decided to start his own version of the organisation, his own fighting ring but more then just that, this organisation will actively challenge the hero organisation for the better. Hikari appointed Jin as his ‘chief of staff’ but that was pretty much just a title, it just meant that Jin was the right hand to Hikari. And from that day the two of them made a family of their own, with their organisation; The Garden. And most of all Jin was on track to die a good death.
