Hamilton

This musical is pretty well known, but just in case I'll explain it some and add an explanation link incase I do poorly.

Hamilton Explained by Chris Howard

Hamilton, as the title suggests, is the story of Alexander Hamilton in a musical format. Few things being altered for the purpose of the musical.

My Hero Academia

I'm sure we all know what My Hero Academia is as we are in the My Hero Amino! So I won't be explaining the series, but instead what I'll be doing here.

I shall be comparing a few characters to song lyrics of Hamilton by Lin Manual Miranda and I'll also be doing this to other songs. Such as High Hope's, Fight For Me, Last of the Real Ones, Overtime, Right Now, The Bad Guy, and such. This is my idea. Or maybe someone else has done this before, but please don't copy this. Thank you!

" He'll do what it takes to survive "

Todoroki

Todoroki, to me, has shown weakness and flattery when he's in danger. My main example of this is when he was captured by Aizawa and he itted to Momo he voted for her for class rep ane viewed her as a smart individual. And there is no debating she's smart, but there can be debating on why he said that exactly. Was it really to boost her confidence, which he never cared about before, or was it to increase the changes of his own survival? I just found this something really interesting and wanted to introduce that idea. I'm not ship shaming, just introducing a theory and idea.

Todoroki also had a rough past. Very rough. The past and experiences shape who you are. And I think that may have helped Todoroki shape into someone who has a bit of instinct to survive. Its probably from Endeavor if he does. But Todoroki also has a decent judgment of wrong and right, I saw that very strongly in the Hero Killer Stain Arc. Thats all I have for now about Todoroki relation to these lyrics that I'm willing to share.

Bakugou

We've all noticed something about Bakugou, and that's that he is very aggressive and poor at showing his own feelings. He also has shown to be ruthless. My main example being the Festival against Monoma and his battles against Midoriya and All Might even. He resorted to what Izuku does! Breaking his body to try to win and to survive. Bakugou does act on instinct, but he is also smart. Which can make that even scarier actually. In battles and practices Bakugou uses his quirk in a creative way, showing signs of adaptability and flexibility in battles. That can increase ones chances of surviving and coming on top.

Bakugou's relation to these lyrics are mostly with fighting and practicing, rather than personality like Todoroki. I found that interesting while I was writing this. I just thought it was cool!

Midoriya

Izuku has shown so many times he's willing to destroy himself to try and help someone or win. Which in a way also makes him careless and maybe even selfish yet selfless for hurti in g himself. Its complicated. But I think his intense effort and his endurance to break his bones after bones marks how far he is willing to survive. Be it to help another or to plainly stop someone from getting as fair to someone their targeting. Midoriya has a sense of survival.

Midoriya Izuku is a whole lot of things. His character is an interesting one, even if it can be labeled a few things and go under a few categories. I also think his past of bullying that he doesn't tell people often also has shaped, or better yet, influenced instinct and also survival tactics. I'm not sure though. Who knows. But Midoriya is a character I do like a lot. He is a character I am not only enamored by, he is also a character I have a fancy towards now. Mainly because of his personality and his sense of survival throughout what's shown of the series so far.

" I'm helpless "

Ochaco

Your probably thinking, "Of course she's on this," but I didn't chose Ochaco because of the suspicion of her loving Izuku. Because I find that series better without those two dating. I like them more as two inseparable friends, I'd rather not have them date because I'm afraid it'll cause a change in the series I would dislike and that things won't ever go to how they used to be. But I've chosen Ochaco for this because she has indeed felt helpless in the series.

I do think Ochaco holds strong iration and even longing to be as great as Izuku. She seems more fascinated by Midoriya, then being truly in love. I think Ochaco sorta convinced herself into pretending to being enamored by Izuku the way some say she is. She has fallen helpless to her own emotions multiple times. But I do love that about Ochaco. Though Ochaco is very resilient, and she is strong both mentally and physically. She doesn't let failure effect her negatively, she instead pushes forward. So she isn't helpless at all.

Momo

Momo does have a relation, only it's not positive like how Eliza in the musical felt. Momo showed to be really self doubting after and during the festival as we all may know. I chose this as her relation to Helpless because I think it's an interesting viewpoint compared to the other two in this column.

Momo felt helpless, like she was useless and dirt beneath everyone's feet. While Eliza felt helplessly in love, and overjoyed by Alexander. I find it cool how to different feelings come from the same word. Anyway! Momo hated feeling weak and helpless, and was able to bounce back. Though not completely, as shown during the liscenses when she doubted herself. But I do think she's learned from Midoriya from his own sacrificing, as Momo did that. She overused her quirk, and pushed past her natural boundaries coming with her quirk.

Kirishima

when Kirishima was walking with Bakugou? You could see the moment he feel kn love, or at least felt something wonderful for Bakugou. Kirishima has felt helpless before. I'll mainly be talking about his past and his feelings on his quirk. His quirk first off! Kirishima expressed to Izuku early on when they were going to USJ that he thought of his quirk as something unfit of a hero and that it wasn't much. Izuku disagreeing, which made Kirishima feel better. Kirishima has felt helpless and weaker because his quirk isn't labeled as flashy or hero like, when its practical and pretty to look at.

Now let's contemplate on the Kirishima Arc in the Manga. Kirishima used to feel weak and utterly helpless and useless. Leading him to dye his hair and swim in all things manly and heroic. He made this change to feel stronger, confident. To shove aside those feelings of nerves, of helplessness and uselessness. Of weakness. Kirishima hardly shows weakness and his confidence doesn't usually waver. He's stable and sturdy like a rock. And he provides that for others. Such as his classmates. Besides feeling helpless before, Kirishima has broken past it and felt victorious and strong once more.

" We'll build a strong enough foundation, we'll even fight for you "

Toshinori

Its no surprise All Might's here, come on. He has to be here really because of Midoriya and how far he pushed himself for the students at UA. Like during USJ and his final battle against All For One. He's selfless, and mostly humble, and an intense, complex character. All Might has been a pillar for years to help keep things in order in the hero society. So villains and scared and thwarted off by overwhelming strength. That's building a foundation of trust, security, hope and peace if there ever was one!

That fact that Horikoshi refers to All Might's final battle and retirement as a pillar falling or crumbling away, shows alot. I interpret that like this. All Might, a foundation of peace and trust crumbling away shows there isn't anyone to rival danger off with ease. Showing that there isn't someone who represents the downfall of danger. Meaning one leas courageous hero fighting for the nation. All Might has always fought for his students and the entirety of where he inhabits. He's not only a foundation which has begun crumbling at the seams, he is also a humble fighter for what he and other believe in. A fighter and foundation of hope and peace.

Aizawa

I don't even know how, but Aizawa is always targeted by villains and always having to protect his students. I actually have a teacher like this! They say they hate us, but will do anything to make sure we're safe. Aizawa is the same way. He shows he dislikes or doesn't care about his class in the actual classroom, but when he's outside and danger arises he does to hell and back to try and protect them. Even the students he doesn't teach or see often. It's not only rational to protect the student, but it's also something he just does. Naturally too.

Aizawa is a fun character. And I think it's even more fun thinking about his character and what makes him the Aizawa most of us adore in one way or another. And I especially love how he relates to this song, especially these lyrics. Its definitely different from the other two as well! Which I also like!

Enji

Enji is undoubtedly a hard and interesting character in this series. On one side, he was a poor father who hurt his family, on the other, he's a hero, which exposes a fraction of his ideals and his opinions at least. So what is there to say about Enji Todoroki? So much in all honesty.

Enji, I think at least, does love his family. I know, you may think I'm talking crap because of how he treated them, but hear me out. Enji wanted to sur All Might at all costs. Even his children's happiness. But later, later on he tried to make amends and become someone better to his family and the world. Its takes a lot to change, please note. Also, in the Manga when Enji was in danger during a fight Todoroki looked to even be praying for his abrasive father. Which proves Todoroki does at least like his father even after such bad things. And I'm sure if Enji knew Todoroki did that he'd know his son still is at least fond of him. So Enji has at least tried to become a better person and father.

" Tell your brothers and sisters to rise up "

Mirio

Mirio picks people up. He helped Eri, didn't he? Which is an example! He also helped Tamaki Amajiki by just being his friend and there for him. Though Tamaki still isn't glimmering with self esteem and confidence, he at least has some because of not only Mirio but also Nejire and teachers. If Mirio hasn't been there when he was, would Tamaki even be the same character? Would he even be attending UA? Or becoming a hero? I just can't help but wonder for a moment what would happen if such significant parts of the series were removed as if they hadn't happened. Like if instead of Midoriya being bullied. Or if someone else took that place like Iida or Ochaco. (That gave me an idea!)

Anyway, Mirio has risen from the bottom to claim a spot at the highest pillar. UA. He is not only in the Big Three, but he also scored poorly according to Midoriya in last years festival. Which must mean he did a 360 and completely changed his work ethic and his own mindset. Which, note, isn't always easy. By showing the world his past achievements and his current, is an inspiration. That shows that even when your behind you can get to the top and sur if you work hard and have a ion. So Mirio is encouraging indirectly, intentionally, unintentionally and directly. He tells people to stay strong and to rise up in his own way and in his own actions.

Tsuyu

Since I can't pick Izuku twice, I've chosen Tsuyu. Tsuyu, much like Mina, Shouji and Jirou, has shown to provide . Recovery Girl even itted that Tsuyu is a good in a fight. She has shown to be very calm during fights and veur dangerous situations. Which can ultimately help someone else to be calmer, or at least less anxiety ridden during a battle. Depending on various things.

Tsuyu is also fairly strong. Her quirk is jor exactly limited in explanation. Horikoshi states she can do shat a frog can do. What type of frog? The fandom often assumes all because of the vague description. That also leads people to say she's even OP on some social media and such. Yet, I don't understand. Tsuyu has a calming and cool persona and a fairly strong quirk to match it. With her calming persona she helps others remain calm. Which can help carry or increase their chances of surviving or ing as exam or situation. She is logical as well. In my eyes she isn't OP. And I may or may not do a post on why I view certain characters as OP or not OP. Depends.

Jirou

Jirou has always protected those she likes and cares about. From the USJ incident to the final exams and many more times. She is a pillar herself in my eyes. Jirou doesn't get the attention she deserves, and is ignorantly labeled as weak and useless. When she isn't at all. Even though Jirou wears Punk shirts and plays guitar and yells she is still a very comionate and talented character and hero in training. Otherwise, how did she get into the best heroics department?

Jirou has helped her classmates regain and build strength and confidence. Like with Momo during the Training Camp in the Woods and Koda during final exams. That confidence and ability of rising others up is something I love, value and treasure in Jirou.

" I'll never be satisfied "

Shigaraki

Because I can't chose Midoriya, All Might and various other characters...Shigaraki! These lyrics actually fit him and Stain both well because of their ideals and their desire to form a perfect world. Shigaraki wants justice towards the hero system. He thinks that violence is okay among heroes, and if it's for something irable like saving someone. While a villains violence is plain cruel and punishable. He wants to stop that mind set and provide something equal.

I personally believe that Shigaraki will never truly be satisfied. Even if violence was viewed equally, I don't think Shigaraki would actually be satisfied. Shigaraki didn't only want violence among heroes and villains to be treated in a certain way, he also said something about All Might. All for One is Shigaraki's All Might or All Might to Midoriya. He felt it was wrong that heroes were allowed to have pillars of hope, like All Might, while villains could not. He finds the treatment unfair, and that may not change while he can see. Leading me to think he won't be satisfied. At least not completely or entirely. Specially not easily.

Stain

Stain and Shigaraki both have ideals and an idea for a world they'd like to see all live in. A world where things are as they wish it to be. Even though these two have strong, stubborn mindsets they also can't get along all too well. Maybe it's because they are so stubborn or maybe because of plot or ect. Either way, this is about Stain. Stain was killing pro heroes he felt where not worthy of the title. Or doing it for not worthy, or noble, reasons. Like money or fame. In the process he attacked Tensei making his brother Tenya seek revenge.

The fact that Stain hardly cared how Tenya felt showed something to me. That Stain won't exactly stop to get his point, ideals, statement, whatever you'd like to call it, across. He said he wouldn't hesitate to kill a child of Tenya's age if he got in his way. Stain won't be satisfied until the world he's fantasized has become more than just his fantasy. Only the thing about the Hero Killer Stain is that both him and other villains viewpoints are mostly logical and can help shape a so called perfect world if they worked together. But that won't happen very likely, so neither will a so called perfect world in my eyes and my thoughts.

Nana

Nana is one of my favorite heroes shown vaguely in the series. She is only hinted to rarely, yet she's stolen plenty of hearts and emotions from us viewers. She's ed but her own legacy and her impact still remains with not only All Might, her successor, but also people who had known her before.

I choose these lyrics for her besides others mainly because much like All Might, Stain and Shigaraki, Nana has ideals and a will to fight and stand for what she believes for and in. Even if she were still alive, she'd definitely be fighting. She'll never stop until a perfect world is formed. Where it's safe and secure. Then she'd maybe be satisfied.

Ragdoll

Ragdoll loves her teammates so dearly and it's so precious. Which is why it hurts my heart so much that she has to have her quirk stolen. Even so, she handled it well and resigned. And even though she couldn't save people with who she loves working with anymore, she still loved her teammates. Proving she loves them so dearly, even if they can do something she cannot. I love that she doesn't hate her teammates or the world because of the lost of her quirk and hero career.

I think that Ragdoll has such strength and just a kind soul and nature to be fine after having something so precious stripped of her. She has gotten her quirk stolen. Which means her hero profession and the three of her team. I know they can hang out later, but she can't hang with them while doing hero work or saving people. Yet she still loves her teammates and still hasn't lost her zealous zest of life. Making her still a fun character who still needs and should get love! Ragdoll is a great example of a selfless character who puts others before her in a brilliant way.

Kendou

Kendou is the Big Sister of class B. She maintains an order among her classmates and helps things stay focused. I respect her for that. Not only does she deserve love and more show time, she also should get more positive affection in the fandom like many class B+ girls and guys. Anyway, Kendou and how she relates to these lyrics.

During the Training Camp in the Woods Kendou showed when she battled Mustard and that even before then she cares deeply about her classmates. As soon as she and her classmates realized something may have been dangerous, she acted to save them before herself. Like the selfless, humble maiden she is. She then later worked with Tetsu to help clear away the poisonous fog and ensure teachers and peers alike safety from that one threat. She could have gotten seriously injured like Momo, Jirou, Toru and others had gotten. Yet she was brave with another one of her classmates and helped many people. Proving she has enough faith to protect them. Showing her care.

Shouji

Shouji is undoubtedly, from the few moments of fame he gets, the most caring of class A. Nothing can really convince me otherwise really. Midoriya, Jirou, Momo and Kirishima are also really caring, but Shouji takes the cake. He's just so selfless and humble yet he looks like he can crush your Skull, which he can. Which makes me love his underrated self.

During the Liscenses Arc, the temperature dropped making Tsuyu fall asleep and Shouji wrapped her in his arms and kept her warm! He also before that, carried Izuku on his back while trying to help Tokoyami, Todoroki and Bakugou. And before then he got part of his quirk lost due to Tokoyami's Dark Shadoe cutting it off. And he didn't really even get mad at him! And I know others would have. Shouji's relation to these lyrics don't have to do with him loving someone related to him. He just shows so much love to his classmates and strangers that I had to include him somewhere.

I just wrote about 10+ characters! Oof! That took me a while to finish...5+ days! I'm just glad its posted now, and I hope it was good! Unedited though...I also strayed off the challenge prompt but I had fun writing this!
